Thread: Advanced X-wing deed

Thanks for the heads up, looking into this issue.
Another clarification, since I saw it mentioned further up this
thread: the ship modifications do not increase the mass of your
ship, or add to its performance. They are just a little something
extra for the body of your ship. Its like painting a racing
stripe on your ship---it just looks faster
Thanks.

That explains it.
The heavy xwing.. is not a chassis modfication via strakes then like the ROTW pre release info would lead some of us ( *cough* me) to beleive.
So.... zee strakes... zey do nothing!
I think the dev dudes at SOE all have an 8-Ball on their desk and use it everyday. Keeps us on our toes trying to figure out what will happen tomorrow.
DP - any chance you can push on the NDA release - I gave my word not to release my mining guide without the NDA being lifted after Tiggs was asked when the NDA was coming up. I want to let it start helping people, but can't till I get permission to release it.

Then why is it when they were described, it was lead to believe that?
X-wing with cross-body strakes
"Success with the "Heavy - 95" lead to the creation of the modified X-Wing. This version has increased mass capacity and better heat-handling."

The strakes/winglets are indeed for decoration only. There is an Advanced X-Wing with considerably higher mass, however, which is granted as a quest reward.

Made some for a friend, he fitted them into an xwing, no change in any of the ships stats that he noticed. Oh but his ship looked fatter, but thats about it.
A suscpet their purely asthetic. You can't even experiment with them. Its like making a paint kit.
Thanks.

I want you all to think really hard and try to remember the last time a Developer posted in the JTL related forums.
I wonder how much of this fourm they've been reading in the past .

Red-Dwarf, the NDA is lifted and you are cleared for take-off!

Dunno if anyone managed to get this during beta, so I'll post the details.
The Advanced X-wing deed is a reward for completing the Kashyyyk space station quests as a Rebel pilot. The last mission, taken from the Rebel Space Station in Kashyyyk and request by telling the station "I'm looking for a challenge!", is to disable a Corvette and escort it back to the station. The enemy spawns start as mixed tier 2-4 fighters, but eventually Tier 5 Rebel Gunboats join the mix, armed with missiles. Three such boats spawned for me in total, but I was still able to beat the mission. The gunboats, once they expended their missiles, just couldn't hurt the vette -- they weren't shooting their lasers at the reactor, just at general locations across the body. Thus, the vette just plodded along its merry way while I shunted my capacitor around 100 times to stay alive. Of course, the gunboats didn't despawn when the mission succeeded, and proceeded to kill me three times while I tried to make it back to the station... so I guess it evened out
.
The reward is the Advanced X-wing: identical hardpoints to her smaller cousin, but with a chassis of 2000 and mass of 180k. *whistle*
Im having some issues starting this mission. Please give me a hand.
I have chosen the 'Im looking for a challenge' mission. It says find a YT1300 that is flying near the station. I go to it and /comm. It says keep up the good work. What do I do next???
