I have no experience with an Opressor but my experiences with the Firespray have been great. Freelance pilot ships start light and then get heavier the higher we go in tiers so I grew more accustom to the slower, heavier hitting ships. The first thing I noticed with the Firespray was that it rolls great, better then all the previous heavy ships I had to fly (the Krayt is an exception, it's comparable to the Firespray).

The mass lets you load out 2 high tier missile or bombs and 2 guns. The only problem with the guns is that the nose cannons aren't calibrated right. They shot straight ahead rather then center to your targeting reticule. Your other guns are fine though so use your highest damage lasers and you'll be fine (I've loaded my nose cannons with mining lasers for obvious reasons).

I've done pretty well in PvP. I get out classed by pilots that know how to use an A-wing, but I'm not instantly owned by light ships. In PvE it kicks all kinds of a$$.

Hope my POV helps.
