It's a bummer the Devs just used ships they already had. That ship there is just the light Black Sun fighter, style three or four. Would've been nice if they would've added more to it, atleast, or changed the whole design. Same for the X-Wing and red TIE Interceptor.

I felt the same thing about the krayt. It just looks like a heavy hutt type that didn't get approval until we began asking for a 2 player ship. Still, complaints aside about it's look, the Krayt's a great ship so I don't think this Vaksai will disappoint.

Now the Firespray, that's a disappointment. It looks awesome fo course, but the bottom lasers STILL haven't been aligned to the reticle.

mark my words kids.

that grevious ship is the beginning and the end.

it and the jedi starfighter are now by FAR the most powerful ships in the game.

nothing else can even remotely compare.

my jedi starfighter currently goes 1400... 1700 with booster.

it turns so fast it goes backwards when it wants to.

i have 2 guns on it with .264 refire rate... its like a machinegun.

i solo corvettes and never get hit once.

its 90k mass of pure unadultured freaking godliness.

repent.

OK, So I have THREE 3600 DMG .7/.7 armor/shield guns on my Krayt along with the pre-nerf 92 speed reward engine REed up to about 95 speed. I have a cap that with cap overcharge I can fire all three guns continuously without seeing my energy drop in the least. And I can STILL carry Mark IV protons.

Although I see your argument, in pvp you don't NEED three big guns. Just one or two will kill you just as dead in the same number of shots. And the only thing keeping those shots from killing you will be your target profile and manueverability, where the Jedi starfighter (among others) really shines. The Krayt, while an outstanding PVE fighter, is a gigantic target. If the bandit is anywhere but directly in front of you, please insert another quarter, because you're already dead.

So there's some diversity going on.

Personally, I really enjoy my Vaksai because it's a bit more challenging than my krayt. It's a joy to build and fly, and your pve targets don't die in one or two hits. And it's nice to have a light-fighter with enough mass to load any damn thing you want (150k is a lot when you've only got 1 gun and 1 ordnance to work with).

Spinning, I posted a similar reply to Bzzzz's in the other thread you asked about the Vaksai in. Like I said over there, it's a style/taste issue. For my style, the Vaksai is one of the best ships in the game.

Drakkoon Shao (Gorath) -- Smuggler
Smuggler's Alliance Ace-- Vaksai - Firespray - YT-1300 - YT-2400 - ARC - Scyk

Shaelyna Kadas (Gorath) -- Spy
Novice Pilot -- Heavy Tie Fighter

Kallarrlo (Gorath) -- 12pt Wookiee Weaponsmith and Alliance Ace

Opyso (Gorath) -- Ithorian Force Adept

Now that I've had the weekend to try out the Vaksai I feel the same about it as I do the Krayt. Could look more original, but it flies great! Since Privateer ships get heavier as we move up in tiers, I'd forgetten what it's like to have a fighter that stops on a dime for every roll and turn.
