Ive used my regular xwing, the heavy xwing and the b22 to solo the vette so far. I'd have to say it was easiest in my belbullab just cause it handles so damn good

I'd love to try punching it out by using a Ywing LP double loaded with missiles.... Do-able?

More than doable!

And I never waste missiles on NPCs.

For real fun take out a ywing deuce and get a nooby to sit in the back. Its always fun to scare the crap out of them by attacking the corvette, overt players in Kessel or the BIG Imp NPC squads in DS, the ISD, or enemy players.

Youd be surprised how many noobies can get a PvP kill in that turret. Just head to head the enemy fighter and tell the nooby to keep his gun pointing straight back. You keep flying in a straight line and when the nubship (usually) gets to about 550m match its speed and let the nooby start firing. Scratch one enemy nubship. Got to love heavy armour/shields and a lvl10 engine in a Ywing.

advanced xwing makes it to easy, but its the best if you havent done it before.

awing isnt any good, doesnt have enough mass really

all you have to do is disable the shields with missles after doint weapon 5, then disable engines and sit on the blind side and shoot your missles at all the weapon systems and its a cakewalk. you never even have to shoot the gun boats.

A-Wing is very doable, in fact some of the early vette soloers were using A-Wings due to their small size and good turret avoidance.

Downside to the A-Wing is it's lack of punch - if you're not a strong pilot it can take too long to take out the escort.

JSF normally. If thats not a option, i used the A wing, with a good L7 in there its still packs enough of a punch to get through it in decent time.

Heavy X wing isn't an option for me cos by CPG quest is all locked up...I will take a run at it in the A-wing and if it fails I know I can do it in the JSF.

The hardest partseems to bethe escort fighters, since they don't like venturing toofar from the Cap ships...once thats done you can just sneak in nail 5, IFF scramble and drop back for gunships....

When I hit gun 5 earlier I noticed that I didn't start getting hit until I dived away from the Vette and looped back round only to watch em slip into HS.... Can the gunships hit you under the vette?

Or can you sit there and nail the two shields in the same breath then Iff scramble and loop back to hit the engines...
