Hmm... do you take orders for that booster and missile launcher? I think I should be able to fit the launcher in my own squint, and seeing as an A-Wing wasted me 4 times in a row I can use the added firepower methinks.

I'll never turn down money, send me a tell sometime.
Who was the A-Wing? Mav, or is somebody else out there representing for the Rebels? Hear there's been a lot of activity in Kessel lately.

I PvP just fine in my X-Wing. It may be a larger target, but that only matters if a person can actually get a shot off in the right direction. 3 RE'd Level 7 guns dishing out about an average of 8000 points of adjusted damage kinda makes it a little difficult for a bandit to survive past the merge. If you're a good gunner, there's nothing in the Rebel arsenal like the X-Wing.

Just a friendly match with Kitten, another Neutron Pixie, in Deep Space.

Sounds like the Rebels are starting to regroup a bit. I'll definitely be there this weekend, that kind of aggression can't stand.
That's what I continue to love about JTL--I think you're crazy for going with an X-Wing over an A-Wing, but it's your perfect fit. The devs just did a great job with the basics of the expansion. The whole twitch thing makes it difficult to draw comparisons between ships, but the fact they made each faction so different was a real master stroke.

The Rebel ships are so varied that there's usually one ship that just clicks with each pilot. I thought it was the A-Wing, myself, until I got chewed up by a formation of gunboats in Deep Space. (Plus, it took a LOT longer to take down the ISD.) One of the Privateers I know PvPs almost exclusively in a Krayt. He puts out some massive damage per volley.
The main reason I started flying the X again is due to the fact that more than 99% of the time, you're going to be engaged in PvE.
What's really funny is that the other ship I take to Deep Space is my Y-Wing. A good turret gunner can make scrap metal out of those gunboats very quickly. Plus, it really helps people with the XP grind in Tier 4.

Indeed...the Y-wing (regular, not LP) is really formidable as well with a gunner. My guildmate and I have been working on going up Rebel, and since I'm one squadron ahead of him, I've been gunning for him on his Y-wing. (He switched to an X-wing now that he hit Tier 4.) The turret, if you're good (and I'm not really very good), can be a huge boon because you hit stuff on your retreat, too.
:: Curses the lag ::
I got killed twice trying to do my Tier 3 missions because of ships jumping around like crazy...
Oh, and Naithan? When I'm back to master Reb, I'm going to chase that dang bright down in an A-wing...I couldn't keep up in my old Dunelizard at Kessel, but next time... :: shakes fist ::

Quiet you fool, we don't need any more A-Wings up there. You know how much harder they are to hit.
What makes you think the Advanced is harder to hit? It's got that flat part stuck to the body that makes a relatively large top/bottom target, I think, whereas the Squint just has the eyeball.
I have been thinking of switching back over to an Advanced, though, because I'm thinking I can swap out my RE'd Boltdriver for two level 5 guns that will end up doing more damage for roughly the same mass, and then with the additional 15K I'd be able to squeeze in an RE'd reward shield. Plus I've got a few level 5s RE'd up that fire blue lasers, which I think would look pretty funny coming from a TIE. I'll probably give that a shot on the Kessel blockade this weekend and see how it goes.

For PvE, nothing better than Oppressor, and it makes an Ok PvP ship against anything but A-Wings and Dunelizards.
Against A-Wings...well, I have taken out a couple in "fair warning"fights, but my ratio with the Oppressor against those is not that great

IMHO.... I like my Firespray best for PvE, so far I'm pretty happy with either my TIE Intercepter or even the Advanced for PvP.
