Thats the whole point.
I don't care what you can make out in normal deepspace, its irrelvant when one side has a static, fast respawning, probably a hassle free, FP factory - while the other doesn't.
If all of deepspace is wiped clean (happends after some tard camps the rebel station - which is of no bennfit to us), guess who still has an damn good FP source? call my crazy but i gotta call BS on the whole situation, it smells of imbalance. Furthermore, i dont think things like space stations and ISD's we're meant to be used as milk cows for credits or FP. Whatever the design is, both should be equal in reward, and their not.

of course, by the same token there's absolutely no reason why the rebel base can't give some meager amount of FP, but then again, there's no reason why it needs to either. meh
