One thing I noticed while my skin was burning from my flesh, I'm supprised I could see, that the pilot of the decimator I was in could walk around like nothing was going on. While the other 3 of us were a pile of smoking flesh. The only thing different was that he was wearing a Tie pilots survival flight suit, helmet, boots, and gloves. I haven't encountered a plasma leak again, but I fly now with a helmet, flight suit, boots, & gloves. May be this will work.

It isn't necessary. land you ship. sit down. /logout (must use this command). wait 10 minutes. log back in

Really.. I know that works but WE shouldn't have to do that.. WE pay a fortune for these ships and shouldn't have to log out of the game for 10 mins...

I agree and am pushing for the same thing you are, man. I was just saying if you have it decorated there is no need to redeed.

I really wanna know... how they didn't notice this... Or if this wasn't going on in testing they should have known what was changed between that caused it. =|

Here's an alternative to redeeding or having someone shoot you untill you take damage:
Run say, Reactor Overload 1, or Engine Overload one, so that it damages one of your components a little, then go and make the repairs. It'll be less damage than someone shooting you, meaning you'll use up less of a repair kit, and you won't have to try to tell someone to stop before they accidentily disable you.
I just thought of this, but I can't test this now, I'm at work. So if someone could do that for me, it'd be much appreciated.
Yeah, it is stupid that we have to do this, but untill the bug is fixed, we need every workaround we can think of.
