I'm so glad I found this thread.

It's given me some humble pie attempting to learn how to use the B-wing. I look like an idiot compared to in my Actis, but hell, i'm learning a lot more from it.

And lets face it, B-wings look hawt.

which bug is this? I didn't notice anything odd, but then I only flew it a little bit before re-deeding it.

I have no experience with the BWing yet... (my 2nd acct is 4433 reb pilot) but I do have experience with the TIE Bomber which is similair in the way it flys.

TIE Bomber is similar to Y-wing, B-Wing is much slower.

Being a master pilot and having alot of experince flying rebel fighters

i have found that b-wing is one of those ships that you have to tweak alot if you want to get the best proformance out of

i have spent alot of hours on mine and am still tweaking it

So i would not recomend it for dogfighting untill you are used to it and have it set up so that you don't drain you cap in four shots

Also the B-wing is a good solo mining ship becuase you can equip it with enough firepower to defend your self and mine at the same time jsut by switching wep groups

I should note the first time i took it up my B-wing my guildmate whom i was helping with a mission told me i over did the firepower cause it almost destryed the ship we needed to disable in the process of disabling it

So becarefull about the weapons you put on it if you are going to use it help people with missons

overall the b-wing is a good fighter but one you have to get used too

for PVP i still recomend the a-wing cause its small fast and in the hands of a good pilot hard to hit

I hated the crap out of my B-wing the first time I tried it. I was so used to having a ship that actually handled. I took it out again a few days ago and found myself unchanged to it.

This thread has inspired me.

3x lvl 10 RE'd blasters - 120k mass'ish

1x lvl 8 RE'd blasters - 16k mass'ish (I think)

1x lvl 8 RE'd shield- 26k mass'ish

1x lvl 10 RE'd engine - 40k mass'ish

1x lvl 6-8 RE'd capacitor - 20k mass'ish

1x lvl 7RE'd reactor- 15k mass'ish

1x crap droid interface - 500 mass

1x crap booster - 2k mass

All that's missing is the three weeks it's going to take me to get all the beamrail cannons I'm going to need.

It's all gone. And so am I.

3x lvl 10 RE'd blasters - 120k mass'ish Make it 130k mass'ish, 40k post-re L10 guns areas rare as the BSace helmet

1x lvl 8 RE'd blasters - 16k mass'ish (I think) 25k is normal, 22k possible

1x lvl 8 RE'd shield- 26k mass'ish

1x lvl 10 RE'd engine - 40k mass'ish

It is possible, it's pretty much my current B-wing but I use a L1 sw crafted reactor, 2 L10's and 2 L8 guns but it takes a lot of time behind the stick to loot the stuff.

That would work too. Are people really stupid enough to sell you 40k L10 guns at a couple k/level?

I don't quite know yet.

My guess is no, but one can always hope. Occasionally people sell me their reward shields for 3k per level. I used to buy at 2k like all the other shipwrights, but since I don't sort until at least a few days laterI had to up my price so I didn't feel guilty for screwing all my customers.

My standard offer for lvl 10 guns is 50k.... not sure if people sell 'em to me for that or not, but I'm patient. I have a Cabinet. This cabinet is filled with cert 7, 8, 9, 10 guns. I will wait, and this cabinet will fill.

I'm planning on grinding every pilot tree, that should probably get me halfway there.

It's all gone. And so am I.

Maybe it's just because I'm feeling a little burnt at the moment, but I've been thinking about how great it'd be to fly a B-Wing in PVP for the last week, lol. I'm sure it's a real challenge to adapt to, but on the other hand, there's nothing better than being drunk with firepower.

Personally, I think the Advanced X-Wing is better than the B-Wing.

Which is another unbalanced part of the RotW fighters that rarely gets brought up.

I'd fly a B-Wing for the challenge. I think proper use of your four guns as a device of total intimidation and devastation, low throttle speeds for optimal turning, and two missile launchers could be a harrowing experience for your foes, though.
