Ahh... what, exactly, are the winning conditions of this game? Some common examples would be: highest score after a period of time; first to reach a total number of points; first to eliminate their opponent (think Chess or Risk); achieving a reconizable goal (clearing the board of cards in solitare); reaching the end of a story (most solo campaign computer games). So, the conditions of "winning"SWG are?

[I'll give you a moment here.....]

Interesting. There arent any. Making Jedi? not really winning. I know Jedi who spend hours grinding in their fight-clubs to maintain rank. Getting badges? No... too many people keep playing after they get badges, either in search of new ones or enjoying the skill the have.

Perhaps the fact that you're missing is that SWG is much more a simulation(like all the Sim products) rather than a game. There is no "winning" to SWG. The process is the reason for participating. Maybe if you change your perspective, you won't feel like you're "losing" because some goals take more time than others.

89 badges (as many as I can get so far without changing professions or factions)

3 Pilot Profs

2 homes (PA Hall and a Large Corellian) full up to 400 items most of which are rare or no longer in game.

All Imperial Faction Items.

All rare looted or crafted painting.

All vehicles available (AV-21, FlashSpeeder)

Almost full suit of Bounty Hunter Armour (one of my current goals is to finish this)

Beginning the hunt for RIS Components (another goal of mine)

Been in the same guild since launch

Participated in building and maintaining a large player city

Participated in base take-downs as well as building/defending/maintaining a base complex (back in the day...)

Held my own player events.

Participated in others player events.

Working on the Hero of Tattooine Quest (2 out of 4 done)

I've walked, rode, or driven across almost every inch of every planet

I've completed every single NPC quest I could find on Dantooine, Tattooine, Talus, Endor, Naboo, and Lok (a few planets to go)

Been in game since launch and I still haven't won yet....

I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.

Well. I don't remember saying that I felt like I was loosing. You play your way and I'll play mine. If you find me to be so wothless in my playing style, then don't waste your time replying to me. I don't recall your answering the question I asked, only sniping away. B'Bye.

So just to make sure I understand:
You want to know a shortcut for XP'ing in the Pilot Profession.
You state this is valid because 'Games are played to be won.'
You state that you didn't feel like you were losing, so I ask you, why ask for a shortcut if you don't feel you are behind the 'curve'?
After informing us you feel circumventing the intended method of advancing is acceptable for XP'ing in the Pilot profession, you inform us that you took the 'long way around' for the Jedi grind.
You defend your decision to circumvent the intended method (apparently only for the Pilot profession) yet again.
You then draw the line in the sand and place yourself firmly on the opposite side of most of the replies in this thread.

Edit:
I found this rather interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Just in case 'something' happens to the original post:

I bought 110 crates for grind on Bria for 75K each. I had 50 left when I was done and sold them on a vendor for 150K each. The sold in less than 24 hours. LOL. The whole grind cost me 75K.

Tell us again Mr. Holier than thou how you ground FS XP using the normal methods?

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

A little defensive, are we? I didn't take a "snipe" at you at all. I also didn't accuse you or your playing style as "worthless". I only suggested that "winning" might not be the correct perspective when playing this game/simulation.

In fact, I only suggested that you felt like you were "losing" b/c you stated you were trying to win. I might point out that the reason you're "loosing" is because you're coming a bit untied at the pounding you're taking in this forum. Perhaps you'd be better of to quit while you're behind before you "lose" this battle as well.

(whiney, baby Jedi pilot wanna-be baby.)

(( that was a snipe ))

He got his answers, he doesn't seem to like them, but that's his issue. Lets wrap this thread up ok. Themercury is rising to incendiary levels pretty quickly here.
