This thread is not without moral:
It should be included in the Pilot FAQ that only those should make substantial recommendations who have experience on the subject and looked up the relevant information concerning that.

Listen, leave PVP alone. Just leave it just the way it is right now. There. Just make PVE more interesting. I mean, doing the Tier 5 missions for Kashyyk should be a blast, right? You should be almost always on the brink of being shot down. This just isn't what I'm seeing. I'm seeing it take a full minute for me to go 8k m (whatever the hell m stands for, and I sure hope it isn't meters, 'cause that's about the stpidest thing they could do.) I'm also seeing these ships, which should be top of the line pilots, moving sluggishly across my screen while I just pump them at 1/3 speed with CO3 on. BOOOOOORIIIIIING. Come on, where's the dipping, diving, spinning, hardcore action that we drool over in the movies. They want to make a fun flying game? Make it a movie sim. The movies were fun. Just make the YPR a lot faster and send me traveling 5x the speed (5 for....suck a c....) and we'll have a fun game. Try to keep the word noob out of a single goddamn post.

Can't delete a thread, you're stuck with this until it fades on its own.

You're still not thinking things through. 'Just making PvE faster' will not work. Want to know how I know? Because I've seen that game. The early physics and AI in beta were very much like you describe. And you know what? the PvE game was nearly unplayable. There was no ramping up on difficulty, it was barely possible to fly, much less aim and hit anything. A blanket statement like yours is ill-conceived, poorly thought out, and doesn't deal with the realities of the game or the technologies it's based on.

Like I said, read the thread I clickied for you. There are a lot of good ways to improve the PvE experience, and none of them are as simple and poorly stated as 'make it like 5x faster'

Don't worry about it. I'm one of the most experienced pilots in game still both in pvp and pve and believe m, I've made a few corkers of completely pointless or "In posting this, Leaph has just made himself into village idiot of the day" threads many a time. It's no biggy. Everyone stills loves me regardless...don't you guys...?

/sniff

But yeh, I would recomend this. Try the Tier 5 Ghrag duty mission from the CPG Veteran Protector YT-1300 in Kashyk space. Now that mission gets interesting and trust me, you won't solo it in your first attempt. That gets pretty fast paced but I do know what you mean. PVE which was closer to pve would be cool. I mean, I hear people saying they practice pvp skills by shooting down the tier 4 droid fighters in Endor but even still, that is -nothing- like the real thing and personally I believe that only leads a pilot into the trap of flying predictably.

We do need more pve and it needs to be on a par in toughness with the DWB on the ground. I know comparing ground to space is kind of pointless, but I think I can get away with this one. I guess what I mean is we could do with Higher end content which is at a greater level of difficulty than the master content because frankly, a blind wombat could master a pilot profession given time.

I did enjoy the SSD Shipyard zone that someone had. Was that Kayl? /shrug. That was a gooden though.

How you can you still be making suggestions when the overwhelming answer to your thread is, "Wait until you experience it before commenting"? Ace content is not slow paced (although it is, still mindlessly easy). Just take some honest advice - you said you're not an ace yet. Level up, make Ace, spend some time doing some of the harder missions, then we'll talk.

It's funny you should say that, since it isn't very accurate. I tested the beta for this. It wasn't as fast paced as I would have liked. Listen, I don't mind spending thirty minutes on a mission if it makes my day. Killing convoys and engaging in exciting battles is fun, and cool, and I ust don't see any of that here. The fact that I may have stated something like that poorly doesn't actually matter very much. I just want it reasonably fast-paced so that it isn't boring. Know why? Because the ENTIRE Y-8 Quest took me about an hour. This means it was too easy. This was because it was too slow-paced and because the enemy AI was lousy. If an enemy were to lead me into a swarm of his ships, which would form up in a nice, efficient formation and strafe my front shields into oblivion, drawing my fire to get me off their friend's tail, I would actually be happy. That would make me happy.

You're not 100% off base, just barking up the wrong fixes. The NPC AI is really easy - however every couple of weeks someone posts on these forums that the game is too hard for them - they have to balance it somewhere. For me every mission was easy, and only one or two got me nervous - but by the time you tune the game to my skill level you'd leave out a lot of people.

Do read that other linked thread though.

That would depend on what stageyou joined the Jump to Lightspeed beta, now wouldnt it?

Using the Y8 Quest as your example of boring PvE? also pointless. The Y8 missions are meant to introduce mining as core content for everyone, not keep tier5 aces amused for days. Don't complain that a quest doesn't keep you amused in a specific fashion when it was never designed or intended to be an endgame sort of challenge.

Answer me this, how easy is it for you to solo any or all of the following (3/4 of these you can do without an Ace badge to your name):

- the tier 5 droid fighters in Endor

- the CPG tier5 duty mission

- the Imperial Star Destroyer

- the final battle of the Lord Cyssc missions

Unless you begin addressing more what people are saying to you instead of blowing them off and moving onto things even more irrelevant, further discussion is pretty pointless. You're not discussing you're repeating the same things over and over. You're a broken record. You think faster is de facto better, and we as people who know are telling you it isn't that simple, even if it were correct.
