Yeah, the problem with this is that more enforced grouping with more and more people fleeing for other games makes this harder and harder. The last few months have been hell on my friends list, and I do not see this improving in the future. Making content Raid only is just continuing to shoot people in the foot.

A good way of looking at ToOW, general quests/missions could be considered "soloable" by some but probably require a small group. All final missions in a quest string will definately take a full group of tough toons. Thats just how it is.
Agreed, but it's what we have to work with considering the Dev's completely ignore the fact that this should have been a space mission instead of a ground mission that takes a full group of cl80's.
I would have rathered see some space content for sure. Too bad you're on Starsider though, I'm willing to use my toons to help people get this ship. Yes, it doesn't stick to EU and yes it's not "correct". But, it is a nice ship and will complement my personal fleet quite nicely. They ditched continuity years ago.
Precisely... Even though they technically didn't get it "exact"(though that's the best representation of the engine room I've seen to date) it's still very nice and I can't wait to fly it. Stubborn as I am, I'm finally starting to accept that the Devsdon't stick to continuity- not just on the YT-2400, but in the whole game.
By the way... whether the Outrider or Millenium Falcon are heavily modified or not, I've never seen anything anywhere evenmention that the entire deckplan of the YT-series ships are interchangeable as many seem to suggest. Easy to customize yes, but redoing entire rooms? If anyone has any information on that I'd like to see it, just for reference.

Well, I can say in the Star Wars RPG (d20), I found an article in a Dungeon magazine that had an article about the two basic models of the YT-1300: The YT-1300p and YT-1300c. The "p" variety having a layout primarily for passengers and the "c" being designed for cargo carrying. Both floorplans were considerably different from each other. By way of comparison, it showed the layout of the Falcon, which was a mix of both types.

Not saying all this is scripture, but it does reinforce the idea that the floorplan is easily alterable.
Which dungeon is that? Even though i hate the Star Wars D20 system with every fiber of my being, they do make a decent map and floor plans.
Just give me my YT1300 and some of those tasty new POB components.
Nasty looking ship, no desire to fly it. I don't think I could even waste my time getting a guild group together to get it, let alone spend money on the expansion.
I'd rather spend my time getting my Y8 and REing for Firesprays to flog
I wish I knew what Goliath was thinking, because up until this piece of bantha dung came out I thought the guy was invincible...especially (for those who remember) when he jumped into JTL beta, said the YT-1300 was jacked up and fixed it.
I really see no excuse for what this ship's become, and it really gives me the strong impression that they're just starting to half-ass things to get them done in time. It is kind of hard for me to see why that is, you can spend less that 30 minutes browsing Google on a search for "YT-2400" and "Outrider" and get a ton of reference images.
And from a modelling standpoint, I've modelled the YT-2400 in 3d Studio Max a couple of times now and it is actually EASIER to model the thing the right way versus the "Essential Guide" version.

Interior layout
Now to note...there was a guy on the internet a few years back (really, really wish I could remember the site's name so I could find it again) who did an exhaustive study on the YT-1300 and YT-2400. May have had a bit too much time on his hands, but this guy accessed every single source of information about (in this case) the YT-2400 and drew up the Interior layout that I linked to above. His same layout suggestions, though I doubt on purpose, were used in the game's version of the YT-1300.
Can y'all see how OFF they are on this? I could understand them leaving the little crew cabin out...wish it wasn't, but hey--maybe they keep interior's ugly & simple for a reason. Could bring lag to space combat, don't know. But COME ONE...having the hallway from the rear of the cockpit go into the place where the ejection pod goes, then making a HALLWAY out of it? The interior design above shows a CRAWLSPACE on that support brace, but there just isn't room for a stinking hallway.
And the pretty little circles on the hull on the front support brace? ACCESS HATCHES...now why would those be there unless they led into..ohh, I don't know...a hallway perhaps?
I don't really care what kind of excuses are given about why the layout of this ship is FUBAR...they can try to say it's because they wanted it to be "unique" from Dash Rendar's modifications--but then why do we have the Falcon for the YT-1300? And would Dash Rendar truly have carved out the entire front support brace and made a hallway out of it, then shorten the rear one to crawlspace-size and add an escape pod for the hell of it? And THEN would he carve out where the old escape on the portside of the ship was and make a crew cabin?
It's laziness guys...we've been duped, just pure laziness. I hope you all take the time to check the links and see, that image of the topside is from LucasArts who created the ship in the first place. Interior's based on (if I recall his sources correctly) combo of West End Games, the Shadows of the Empire game, and Doug Chiang's sketches & put together to actually "fit" in the ship.
Sorry to sound so heated up about this, and lame as it may sound I've looked forward to this ship being in the game where my character can "own" it since SWG launched over two years ago. I'm a huge fan of this ship, and it kinda stings to see the people responsible for recreating Star Wars in this game medium did not care enough to do it properly.

The whole damn thing is off...they took the version of the hull from the "Essential Guide" book instead of the version in Shadows of the Empire on N64 and PC, the sourcebook for that from WEG, the behind the scenes book, Doug Chiang's sketches, the version in A New Hope special edition.

Yeah it seems that wat we do remember from the game(s) and the books has had a slight creative liscence. who cares tho? SWG usually isnt as um...true...um...historicly acurate(if that term can be applied to an imaginary universe)? honestly tho i dont mind flying around in a version of Dashe's ship (rememerb folks he moded his ship too, so honestly we dont know at a stock yt-1300 ora 2400 really look like from the inside). just wish u could get leebo, or mabey let us DE make a kinda leebo. so they would auto pilot (and u can issue comands like turn and stuff to it)while u mane the turents like u had to in that one game. i digress....thanks for getting these out. screenies are always welcome....unless its of someone in hawt pants....no one looks good in those.
