There is no work-around for this bug to my knowledge, i believe it may be a bug, or it may be intentional but badly designed. Whether the devs think it should be allowed for a master in a multi-player ship to babya pilot through all of their missions as it stands now, if your mission requires you to dock then you must be flying to dock. Meaning in your own ship that your certified for. Otherwise you cannot continue with the mission and the mission you attempted gets bugged to the point you must fail it and re-start it.

Tell,
Did you get to test out the multiple co-pilot "trick" yet? I was busy assisting my guild last night so I didnt get a chance to re-unpack my decimator.

To the top, with a question.
Took my YT up as soon as I was able to uncrate her, I'm at work now but wanted to ask. Trying to get a guildmate who is a rebel pilot to man the co-pilot's seat came back with a wrong faction message. Is this indeed the case, ground aligned I'm rebel....Other thing is in my haste to get her up I may not have installed the flight computer...
So in a nutshell, can you have a reb, or imp co-pilot for that matter, in a YT? Or any combination of the above save imp in reb???

I believe that the co-pilot must be a neutral pilot to be a co-pilot on the YT, however any faction can man the turrets.

Nice guide mate, although I do take issue with one thing: The Decimator is more of a light Torpedo Frigate than a heavy bomber.
I would also recommend you add the position of "Commander" to your list. Its always handy to have someone directing the actions of the entire crew, the Pilot already has enough on his hands flying and firing missiles.
Or get on Team Speak and let the pilot issue orders via voice. Flying straight and firing missiles is nothing compared to juking, decelerating, turning, firing primary weapons, issuing droid commands, and issuing player commands that comes in a single player ship.

As geevo pointed out there are 2 requirements for the pilot and co-pilot. The pilot chair must be a master privateer period. To be able to use it they must have the yt-1300 certification. As for the co-pilot I've been able to stick people in my decimator who are imperial pilots. At any level, however i have not gotten it to work having a privateer in it. And you do not have to have a flight computer for the chair. I believe the reason why it requires the specfic privateer or imperial pilot depending on the ship etc. Is because not only do you run droid commands from that seat, but you use the abilities gained in privateer in that seat as well. You are not allowed to mix rebel or imperial commands like pump reacter or emergancy shields to a privateer ship. Thats the downside. But you can run multiple commands from multiple people. Swapping in and out 2-3 privateers each can do their own command. The timers are set to the person not to the ship. But as far as i tested doing like 3 ethrusts at the same time do not stack as far as power.
At this point i'm typing up an update for 1.2 including a wishlist and a bug list. If anyone wants to throw something up there reply to this post after i updated preferrably and after a day or so ill refresh it again. I have a somewhat decent list 5-10 or so for now.
