You freelancers have that craft now.
It is called the Heavy Syck, and I fly it on my alt. It is a sweet ship, very fast and has the tiny profile.

I don't see why there can't be another "version" of the Jedi fighter. Say Rebels get ahold of Obi-Wan's instead? Imps are MORE than welcome to have access to the ARC-170 in exchange.

There isn't any one thing wrong with it, the problem is it has all the advantages and no disadvantages. All of the pre-RotW ships have then advantage/disadvantage stuff to weigh back and forth for what works for you, this ship doesn't, it is the "I Win" button.
