My REed Boltdriver and my REed Tri-Cannon.

They do the job very well, but i'm looking into putting together a L6, seen as i now have 2 that will break 0.700 vs shields and armor.

Why are you going to a lower lvl gun???? I can understand a lower mass but those two you have a pretty light too.

Do the math.... the formulas I use are

(min damage + max damage)/2 * eff vs armor

(min damage + max damage)/2 * eff vs shield

just because a weapon is higher level and has a higher max damage doesn't mean that it will do more damage. effectiveness is the key

PS I didn't add refire rate into the equation because I like different refires for different things. (high for PvP, low for PvE) Just personal preference.

I am just curious here, you have not flown Imp have you? I mean pre-RotW? I think if you had you would understand why mass *CAN* be extremely important

I also have a couple cert 6 cannons that are really sweet, unfortunatly they are out on loan right now, heh.

Even with the amount of mass in a JSF, things can get tight. I *always* put my Engine and Shield in first. Those are cert 8, and while quite light for RE's, still take up a lot of room. Chaff launcher in next because I do not dare declare without it, then wedge in weapons, capacitor, DI,and reactor.

My ships all come within 200 points of max mass, if not, I am doing something wrong and can tweak it better somewhere.

Moral of the story, if I can get a cert 6 cannon that is that close to my boltdriver, I will, and be happy to just for the sake of freeing up some space for other things.

YOUR KUNG-FU IS WEAK - MY SWOOPING CRANE STYLE IS SUPERIOR!

I've pretty much got a new L7 locked down...it should make people drool. For an L8, I still need a sufficiently-low mass one.

I got impatient on the vs tbh.

I looted a 0.639 vs shields unREed yesterday.

Gonna have to wait for another low mass one.

Crap, I have had those Incom Tri-cannons before... /sigh

There are a lot of tri cannon, triple blaster, etc in the names of different loots, but the Incom Tri Cannon is a reward item you get as a Rebel Pilot, it doesnt drop naturally. You're more than likely confusing yourself.

Tomo, what engine are you using if you're able to load up 2 RE'd borstels? (which get down to 20k mass at best? I could be wrong)?

My ubah level 6 pre-nerf with 7.7K mass. Lets me run a level 10/level 6 gun combo (48K mass total) along with an RE'd reward shield.

Your "ubah" L6 is about to be schooled in every category except mass.

Thanks for letting me know I was only 309 units off.

Yeah, but mine was the one that set the bar. It's the Babe Ruth of level 6 engines. You may be about to roll Hank Aaron out on us, and no doubt he earned that record, but he lacks the Ruthian Legend.

/tucks his engine to bed

lol. You close to REing it, then?

Of course, I'm sure Murphy's Law will screw me sideways about a week following the RE when I find one that'll beat yours completely.

It's pretty much guaranteed, but an old loot junky like you must be used to that by now.
