Thread: Space Mining with the Y-8 solo It can be done

I ran into a weird bug last night while showing a freind of mine that the TB coming out the same spot as the mining laser when you set the laser and TB correctly. What happened was the TB stopped working while i was next to him. In the graphics it was on but when you actually attempted to pull in asteriods nothing happened....then he left, and as soon as he did the TB started working. Wondered if anyone else has had this problem. Never thought another y8 being next to you would cause a componet to malfuction.
Other then that mine has been working correctly and I do the running into the upper turret and fire it even though there is no target reticle nor can you see the beam fire but when you go back to the pilot's seat everthing works fine. Already made half of what i spent putting elite parts on it back and the not running back and forth rocks.
Now if they would do us one big favor...How the heck to you stop the screen from flashing red everytime a ship hits you with a shot. My eyes start to hurt after a while. And no offense but stopping to kill level 1 ships just wastes time that I could have used more constructively collecting roids. While not having to stop i was able to cut my time down by at least 1/3 but ignoring the bandits. I don't mind them attacking its the red flashing that drives me nuts. just a little red dot showing the hit would be much more freindlier to my eyes.
But I for one like my y8 more then the yt's mainly because it more guns and also the window view is awesome. Now to find a glass coffee table to use for my office in space.
