I had an idea for how to accelerate and improve the component submission process.

I could enable users to mass-upload component screenshots to the server via a highly automated FTP process. Behind the scenes the system would slurp those uploads into a database. Once processed, logged-in users would see 'pending components (98)' (or however many) and would be able to click the link to bring up a slightly modified component submission form that would include a the screenshot...then it'd just a matter of finger-netting the values into the fields. Both the image submitter and the data entry user would get credit for the submission.

you must be psychic, because I had pondered the thought of that afew days ago(although it would be submissions private for each user), just saves all the alt+tabbing, plus a random data enterer wouldn't know exactly when the item was looted (pub20-23 or post-24) or the current status of the item.

I would love this tool because I spend far more time alt+tabbing, memorizing numbers, and alt+tabbing back, than actually looting them.

and if we made them publically open to submission, Itet would just grab em all and input em as part of his conquest of the leaderboard

My wife sick and gone to bed early, plans dashed, I wrote code instead. We now have streaming chat! It's IE-only at the moment while I hammer out some firefox specific bugs, but it works like a charm.

spaceChat v1 is now out of the alpha development phase.

Any registered, logged in member of the spaceLoot community will see the current chat at the top of the browser page, above the spaceLoot banner. By default it shows the last three messages submitted, but you can expand that (and tweak other settings) with the options on the command bar.

The chat supports refresh-only and streaming modes. In refresh-only mode, you'll only see new chat messages when you hit a new page on the site or refresh your current page. In streaming mode, new messages will automatically flow through the chat window regardless of what you're doing on the site - browsing, sitting still, whatever.

Streaming mode is only supported in Internet Explorer 6 and the newest Firefox release, 1.5 beta 2.

Come join us. Those of us with day jobs are finding it to be a fun way to stay connected even while out of the game. And it's the only cross-server streaming communication going, heh.

More likely that version just doesn't support it then Raja being unable ortoo lazy to code it

More likely Raja didnt have time to do it. RC1 is derived from beta 2 so it is supposed to work.

Regarding class list page - Shields

Under "Level 7"

MandalMotors 'Protector Class' Shields MK1 - Should be Level 1

MandalMotors Double 'Protector Class' Shields MK1 - Should be Level 2

Sorry I haven't been real busy on the site, been trying and failing to get into NGE TC, hoping to figure out how the heck everything works... after mastering the current game UI, I'm gonna be completely lost
