Thread: Anyone else still angry?
I know what you mean. I came back to SWG after a several month break (bitter about SOE neglect of DE), and have really enjoyed flying while largely ignoring the ground game and the various l33t jedis that seem to be everywhere.

I'm...uncertain. Dang I like flying, and no other MMO offers this, unfortunately. I've about had it with SOE though, been putting up with their crap since EQ launched. Anyone remember the Luclin release?
I think I'll see how the release goes, if they fix anything else. I'm curious about capitol ships, and I want to see how those come out at least. Although if that takes too long, I'm not hanging around for them to keep dangling the carrot.
Ducimus you're evil, can't get those drums from that song out of my head now.
If space doesn't get some major attention, I know my answer to Mr. Strummer's query.

Unless they come up with some way to really screw me over and force me to buy this one I won't be. My main toon is a Master Pilot/Master Shipwright/Master Pistoleer and I have absolutely no aspirations of becomming a jedi. Sure it would be nice to have a new plannet to explore but how my level 54 content do you expect to be in that thing? With no space zone that pretty much equals no reason at all for a pilot to by the thing.
It could be as simple as saying. "Well I guess I just won't buy it. No harm right?" But you and I know it ain't that simple. Of course SOE and LA will promise us it will be tested and bug free. They will say we will get enough beta testing to catch the bugs. Who wants to bet it will be less than a month? Can I get less than two weeks? Since this is a tie in with the DVD release IT WILL BE PUSHED LIVE even if it's mostly unplayable. They did this with ROTW. IT WILL BE PUSHED LIVE and they will try to catch up with all the bugs. Then we know what will happen. The lava crystal quest will be bugged and the jedi will flip out. "How dare they bug our content. "We deserver Lava Saborz because we grinded all that xp!!!!!" As they scramble to appease their favorite children the fabled smugglers revamp will be forgotten again. (Don't forget Rangers and SL's too!) Not a dev will speak of the Galactic Civil War re-vamp. The Y-8 and all our bugged content will be ignored. All so some kids can have an orange saber that will ammuse them for about five minutes.

Exactly my expectations about this lame expansion, and don't even get me started on the continuity issues there. The spirit of one of the greatest Jedi heroes is just going to be hanging around on the planet where he left Vader for dead?! Please...we deserve a better expansion than this, I don't care if the movie is being released with it. It would be equally as viable a tie-in if it didn't have anything directly linking to the prequels. A 'BUG-FREE SWG' would be a great thing to be able to say instead, I'm sure that would pull back more players than having a lava colored saber... ![]()
Though hopefully this will be the last time the marketing division will have the last word about when to push content live. I can hope anyway right? I was really thrilled that one day they said they were going to delay the CURB because they weren't going to do a half-assed job, they wanted to do a thorough job, so it would be 'done when its done.' While the results may lack...at least the approach was right for once.
Really wish they would follow through and pay more attention to the space game. Bugs from its launch are still around too.I mean I know the ground game is in shambles and they need to fix things. But ground combat never really interested me. Space on the other hand is actually fun to play unlike ground combat. I mean even duty missions are fun to play through. I don't really understand why I find them more preferable to doing all the time while I can't stand grinding on the ground. Lack of crafter and mid-lvl content probably gets close though, heh.
This new expansion announcement is disgusting.
All the meta games in SWG is broken.
GCW, FRS. Now they're even starting to meddle with Guildwars.
JTL is in desperate need of some love. And even more so, is alot of professions.

So far it hasnt panned out, but he did manage to ask a public relations person if they had any information about LA taking over SWG and he got a "no comment"
I still think thats just a big tinfoil hat theory. Very hard to beleive. But i'll tell ya, if it DID happen, i would cancel and uninstall SWG the very day of the press release, and turn the SWG CD's into drink coasters or toys for my wifes cat.
