Thread: Who here is tired of being a maid?

I don't doubt his PvP abilities, not at all. But apparently for some reason he ended up dead in PvE recently and as this missionthing this is all about IS PvE a death to a PvE mission does not exactly build much faith in the "100% sucess guarantee" (he gave that on our forums) worth 1 mil per mission :-P.

I don't know him so I don't have an opinion on his abilities.

However I read the post and DO have an opinion on that...

What WAS the point?

Was it suppose to be a public service announcement? LOL, probably few of us posting here AND also on your server really need your help so your 'announcement' was inefficient in reaching it's target audience.

Seemsyou're just some guy spamming us with his own ego massage.

Heheh...

I wouldn't say that I am "teh best" Pilot on Lowca, but there was a fairly lengthy period of time wherein I didn't get blown up. It happened for the first time (In a few months) last night, when I made a slight error in judgement against a Corvette looking to get my Advanced X-Wing.

I don't believe that it will happen this evening, but who knows?

Kettemoor's Space Aces aka our Helper list. Gets bumped every few days, linked to a few times a day, and is generally somewhere within the first 3 pages any day.

I kinda know what you mean. After 4 or 5 failed missions, I got mad and told my FORMER guild leader he was freakin worthless. Its like the heavy ground player is a hinderance in space, the 4 or 5 missions that we failed, I knew I could solo them all. I appoligized, and I feel bad about saying harsh things, but, he's the last person I would want backing me up in space now.

Oh geez!

I'm making a character on Eclipse just to wait for this guy to declare in space and take his self-righteous ego down to the depths of hades as soon as I master Rebel.

Well thank you! At least I have something to do while waiting for the freakin Respec crap to finish (so I can get my master badges). My goal: make mincemeat of any declared Imperial on Eclipse, especially guys like this.

Quite some bragfest from someone who died to a PvE Mission 2 weeks ago, ridiculous heh. Even more funny when this happened in an Eta-2 Actis Interceptor :-P.

Even more funny because the only reason it happened was I had forgotten I had Cap to Shield Shunt IV loaded.

It hasn't happened since then and barring a big change, won't happen again.

Wow - if I knew it would be this simple to get more people to declare, I'd have done this a long time ago.

Also, please look up sarcasm in the dictionary. This post was meant to be clearly dripping with it. Everything after about "happy medium" was me screwing around.

I totally agree where you are coming from. On Naritus, its either you are all ground or all space. ISB, the guild I am in, is currently reforming a Fighter Squadron. So me and the other Aces have been runnin Tier 3 missions like no bodies business. *FIX TIER 3 MISSIONS LENGTHS* I will help anyone do space stuff, but I HATE doing Storm Squadron Tier 3 missions, they are the longest ever. But anyway, I generally dont help anyone in space but guildies or ppl with real good reasons. I have even been taking up ppl in my Krayt just to milk a little xp while I help others with there missions.

I have helped literally dozens of pilots get ace.

As far as "being a maid" here's how I run my show.

  • Did you try and fail already? Ok I'll be your wingman.

  • Are you n your first attempt and just want some extra firepower? I'll be your wingman.

  • Am I just in the mood to fly in a group? Ok, again, I'll be your WINGMAN.

So basically, I don't "do the mission for you" I stay about 50m off there right wingtip matching speed and manuevors and I add the support to the mission. If it's a tough mission I'll boost ahead and disable a gunboat or remove the teeth from a Nova Courier, but I leave the ball in the mission holders court.

The only thing that can get frustrating is a few times I have gone on a mission to help someone and they actually but the escort target on follow and went afk. Instead of getting mad, I just hyper out. No tells, no complaining, I just take off.

I'm always willing to help anyone I can, sometimes that means I get 50 tells a night from different pilots needing aid (can't help em all but I do try!). Remeber, even though you've said you are available to help people you do have the option of saying you're too busy and most people will leave it at that. I know I have a waiting list of pilots in my notepad.

Ah, come on. A pilot without his attitude is just some guy.

I try to find time to help those who genuinely need it, but for those who are just looking for a free ride, they're on their own. Generally, it's not too hard to tell the difference.

LMAO!!! That is sooo going into my Sig!!!!! Right on Tomo!

everyone can get blown up, whats the matter?

Ppl like the original poster who claim to be "the best" and have ohh so many kills and nearly no death are just ppl who run when its uneven odds.

While there are ppl like me who say YEEEHAAA and fly straight into a group of 15 opponents to take down as many as you can before you blow up... damn i miss the old Kessel days :/

In other words, there are tons of pilots out there who gladly help when they can, if they cant, they just say sorry and the result of this... they are still able to leave their appartement without getting their head stuck in the door cause the ego blowed it up.
