BTW, i just looked at my QID again, here's the stats:

Pitch:69.4

Yaw:64.5

Roll: 64.3

Top Speed: 82.0 (not 82.5 like i thought)

Mass: 29985.3

I think i should get a badge for gimpiest QID on the server!

Wow, you're right. That QID absolutely sucks.

Please forward your responses to the developers. In this day and age..no pilot should be denied his chance at a good engine! (Where's Sally Struthers when you need her?)

What really sucked is that it was a PITA to get at CL 54. Hard work (well for a game anyway)=shaft!!

All I can say is 73.4 pre-RE on any PYR won't be enough for a 1.4 mod.

A friend of mine and I are/have been doing some testing using REed and unREed components. We've locked down the 1.3 mod trigger at around 71.7/71.8 (71.8 is confirmed, 71.7 we couldn't test - because we didn't HAVE one), and the 1.4 is SOMEWHERE between 77.1 and 77.8 (quite possibly AT 77.8, if the separation between values is 6.0).

77.8 *IS* confirmed (by the two of us) as a 1.4 mod, though. You need 74.1 minimum pre-RE to achieve it.

Oh i got a whole lot of farming ahead of me.

YPR drops have really been sucking the last couple of months.

tried a search, didnt quite find what im looking for.

Im kinda curious, whats the top speed a Quantim Ion Drive can come at?

Reason is, after a very ahh.. "productive" hour or so in DS, i was shopping on a whem and saw a 96.6 top speed QID for 3.5 mill. Well, its not like i got anything else to do with my money so i scooped it up. A good engine is priceless in my opinion, credits can always be rearned. Engines.. not really. Still have to do the quest myself, so maybe ill get lucky and get a better one.

GOtta say though, i already have a 24K mass L8 engine, and a 1480 or so reactor drain L8 engine too. Ohhh this has the makings of a Mo'Fo'er of an engine. Just need some Good YPR now and im set.

Just procured a 71.7 roll - it gave 1.3.

So, that answers that - I can say, with 99% certainty, 71.7 is the 1.3 trigger point, because 71.6 was 1.2. So if it is a 6.0 separation, that makes the 1.4 barrier 77.7.

Now all I have to do is find a 77.6 and 77.7 to test.

Intresting. My guessitimate was about 5 units of listed engine YPR to make 0.1 on the chassis mod. I guess i was close, but not quite right. 6 eh?

71.7's are alot more feasable, 74 and up seems hard to find.

You're half right.

I'm talking in PRE-RE values.

From preliminary findings, I can theorize:

71.7 is the 1.3 trigger (confirmed)
77.7 MIGHT be the 1.4 trigger
83.7/8 MIGHT be the 1.5 trigger

And speaking on a Fujita-style scale of possibilities, 88.7/8 MIGHT be the 1.6 trigger. You'd need at least an 83.7/83.8 pre-RE L10 to have even a shot at it (works out to 88.722/88.828 respectively), plus 1.6 might not exist.

Youd need the support of established toons on whatever server you do it on for any efficiency in the farming i would think.

ill need help wasting the trandos, but i think with parawan and camo i can burstrun through the caves, its not like i have to make it out alive, just have to double click the item and then die (much faster than riding all the way back to the sci outpost)
