mm.. this souns like you're suggesting that only tier 5 black suns have a chance of dropping the black sun ace helmet - I thought the consensus of opinion was that tier 4 and 5 black suns had a chance? unless I'm mistaken, this would mean that every Imperial pilot who has ever 'camped' the black sun static spawn was wasting his time?

No, it drops off the Imp spawn, because I was camping it one day, another imp showed up, and we fought for the spawn for 10 minutes, at which point he looted the helmet, said "w00t" and hypered out. I see him wearing it when I run into him. Meanwhile, I'm still camping away, hoping to get lucky.

Not true, if I'm reading you right.
I got my BS helmet off the Rebels' Black Sun destroy duty mission in the Dantooine system, off a Tier 4, in a standard wave.

Not true, if I'm reading you right.
I got my BS helmet off the Rebels' Black Sun destroy duty mission in the Dantooine system, off a Tier 4, in a standard wave.
exactly and the "ace" waves are tier 4 on rebel ones too
I'd guess you can get off ANY black sun just higher the tier/prestige the better the chances
So far I have been able to loot 5 bs helmets. For each, I have done between 11-13 rebel duty missions.
I have completed more than 20 now ( 12 alone and 8 with a guildmate to help him to grind xp) and I have not loot an other one.
Just to know if there is some kind of limit or I'll just have to be more persistant ?

Yes, I and every Imperial pilot now hatehim forever. One dropped at the Endor spawn, but it was to another Imp that I was fighting at the spawn. Lucky son of a **edit**. Thankfully he wears it around instead of selling it, so now I'm only jealous of him instead of hating him with a burning passion for the rest of eternity.

I'm an Ace smug alli pilot and I got the helmet to drop off a tier 4 deathbringer from duty mission from THE SECOND freelance trainer in Theed Palace, not the first freelance trainer... You dont have to start over.
Its like wearing an assmagnet on your head tho cuz every ass in the game will send you tells begging for it and then scream at you when you tell them what it sells for..
