Thread: Anyone else want to see NAVY ranks introduced for JTL?

hmmm.. Last I checked my pilot profession was called "Imperial Navy Pilot".

Only problem i see are those people that dont know the differences between the ranks and their equivelancies. For instance, the rank of Captain in the army is three grades lower than the rank of Captain in the Navy. Same thing with lieutenants, navy has ensign as its first officer rank, whereas the army's first officer rank is Second Lieutenant. Maybe if the ranks had "Army" or "Navy" infront of them it would work. So one could destinguish between a "Navy Captain" and "Army Captain"

Could we not? Let's keep the stupid names to a minimum. The ground ranking system is full of them. "Captain" sounds fine. No need to stick anything else onto that. If you need the ability to tell the difference, give us the black uniforms that we should have as members of the Imperial Navy. That should cover it nicely. Wearing black? Navy. Wearing gray? Army.

what would you get? command of a decimator? a Y8?

you're a captain as long as you're in command of one of those anyway, by way of nautical courtesy

i'm a lieutenant right now, but i've no intention of going further then captain. been aiming for that rank since i joined the imperial navy.



but i've love the starfighter ranks (listed on that ranking system that was posted a bit back) or the navy ones



maybe have an option that lets you switch between navy and army rank titles being shown. and only let one be checked at a time, so you don't get people running around with both on and confusing everyone.
