As for insystem jumps, I will not run from a fight. I am the Emperor's servant, not some smuggler worm who punches the hyerdrive at the first sign of real trouble. Whoever is teaching the "value" of the insystem jump in the Imperial academy deserves a visit from the Inquisitors. Any mission can be completed successfully without ignoring the rules of engagement.
No intent to dereail the converstaion, but....

Ok man, first, calm down. (not meant as flame)
Unfortunatly, in some cases you need a group in space. All t3 missions are long like that. I needed help with the eception of 1 of them. The reason fo the length of these missions is because you do not need or give up xp to train for tier 3. you will train regardless of xp level at the end of each tier 3 missions. would make that too easy if they were as short as the others. As for wasting 2 hours, some parts of this would go alot faster with help. the escort part will still be as long, but if anything outside the mission agros you, at least you have a wingman or 2 to help.
Besides, when did you see imps or rebels blazing into battle by themselvs in the movies. Always a fleet involved.
just some advise
u dont need xp for t3 pilot or the master box altho it says u do( just do the missions)
u can complete t3 in 2 hours with another competant pilot t4 or master
thirdly , dont get mad it isnt as hard as the t4 grind

ha, do the proton carbine quest chain and say that, if u canhandle the last mission on that i promise ever ACE in the game will bow to u
Ok, so there is a hard mission, but you don't HAVE to be a master pilot to do it. It is probably just better that you are, or have a group. But there is no ground based mission, that I am aware of that there is a prerquisite that you be master pilot.
Want your guns to hit harder, ship to handle better, capacitor to recharge faster and have more stored energy? Use the freaking programs! (not directed at initial poster, unless they arent using the commands)

Agood idea and When i got master I ran into a similar problem...but i just founds the areas of spawns and targeted the closest one and stayed out of argo range......went around them all to get to my spawn....hard but i did it...of course Kessel was still PvP when i got master....

can some please help me understand if im doing something wrong here? or are the devs really that incompetent to their missions?
Few things you should know:
1. No, they are not incompetent, many people have soloed Storm Squadron, so it is doable.
2. SS is widely regarded as the hardest squadron, and definately not recommended for new pilots. If it's your first time through, consider dropping and joining Inquisition.
3. Tier 3 and up isn't really ideal solo. It can be done, but it's much easier if you bring friends.
4. This mission comes up all the time with problems - any time you come up against something really odd in the game like this, try searching first. LOTS of posts on this mission.
5. Make sure you're running droid programs - links in my sig and in the pilot FAQ.

i dont understand y they dont keep the space aspect and the ground aspect seperate, i didnt buy this game to play a space combat sim, infact ive never liked any flight sim, YET SWG forces you to b master pilot to do ground based quests on kashyyk, and if u like space woopty crap for u, im happy, but dont tell methat is makes the game more fun,
The community has been begging for better ground/space integration since JTL launched. If you don't like space...don't fly? There's still plenty of other content on Kashyyyk, and if you're finding Storm Squadron hard you really aren't going to like some of the Kashyyyk quests.
Good luck!
