See here's the real truth.

Your "jedi skills" are just numbers in a computer file, used in a skill vs skill RPG system on the ground.

Your pilot skills are how good you are at observation and reaction.

In case you missed the memo, Space is a twitch game.

SOOO, there is no "observation and reaction" in the ground game?

Your ignorance is deafening.

y' don't click the mouse over the target and shoot a bolt or slash them with your sword, do you? Space IS that way, making it twitch combat, my fiend, which the ground game is not. Sure, you need to be awake and be able to read and press buttons and click stuff, but it's NOT twitch!

90% of my posted are in the Ahazi galaxy, Ahazi Galaxy Trade and Jedi forums.

Oh and you can't tell me that Luke didn't use his force powers while in flight so stop hating cause you aint Jedi.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'll tell you it's a truly boneheaded idea('m a Jedi on one of my characters, by the way). Just the THOUGHT of Force Cloak working in space ... PvP is over in just a few shots, and being able to set up the first shot like that would be majorly unbalancing!

Wow. Just... wow.

This is a twitch based game. Your skills are the only skills that matter. You want to explain to me how the force is going to hold your ship together after a missile demolishes you? Would you like to give us some insight as to how you could "heal" a mechanical object?

Go into the game and look at your pilot tree. There are two skill mods in the entire thing. One for missiles, and one for special pilot abilities. One could *almost* make the argument for effecting your missile skills, but that's it. There simply is no other place for Jedi skills to be.

Space isn't about your character. It's about you. What you can do, and what you can't. We're all the same out here, and the only thing that can make you a good pilot or a horrible one is yourself. You don't need a crutch in space. You just need to get better.

I suggest you utilize the little 'search' button in the bottom left hand corner of your screen then. This is a topic that has been rehashed many MANY times.

I can't tell you that Luke didn't use his force powers while in flight, but I CAN tell you that according to Jedi 'Their light has gone out of this galaxy.' Canon is not applicable in this game as the devs have stated and is blatantly obvious.

Space is skill based, ground is numbers based. I suggest you take your Jedi entitlement mentality back to the Ahazi and Jedi forums, it's not wanted nor appreciated here.

(As far as hating cause I ain't Jedi, you might should get over your arrogance in assuming that non-Jedi are jealous of you. Most of us despise you and have escaped to space to get away from you and your ilk.)

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Sure, let people use jedi powers in space....

As long as ANYONE can kill them after they launch, AND they lose xp for deaths in space, even deep space.

Hi all, I am new to the pilot profession and am wanting to build my skills, but I find it frustrating that I can't use my jedi skills in space. I have come to depend on these skills on the ground and have worked very hard to EARN them, so the likely transition of using those said skills in space seems only fair. Stuff like force heal, AI would be a great advantage and something that would be a well deserved ability for the work I have already put into my skills.

No you shouldnt be allowed to use your jedi skills in space.

Wedge Antilles wasnt a jedi, Tycho Celchu wasnt a jedi, Jek Porkins wasnt a jedi, Wes Janson wasnt a jedi, Hobbie Klivian wasnt a jedi, Lt. Ketch wasnt a jedi (yub yub).

Im a Jedi and i say NO!

However I do thing BHs should be allowed to hunt jedi in space! As either jedi or BH I say "Bring it on!"

HOWEVER, Smugglers should be allowed to slice starship components and Rangers should have an increased loot rate when in space!

Go back to the jedi board and whine there little jebay child!

Good idea *evilgrin* I'd have a visit to pay to Scirkov.../evilgrin (not that I have anything against him, I just need an aspect of the game to pwn him in)

Wow, the intelligence in the pilot forums resembles a daycare.

Sounds like you think you are all gods, but something that it take a week to obtain isn't Godly...no matter how muchyou force your insecurities on other people.

Now, as a retort I will say that there are ALL kinds of benefits listed in Star Wars cannon for Jedi in space, PERIOD END OF STORY FOR ALL YOUR MYOPIANS OUT THERE.

Someone that is sensitive to the all powerful "Force" would have an advantage in any situation regardless of what you think. SOOO, that would apply in space, in the water on land etc.

Just because my idea makesall you "Master Pilots" obsolete doesn'tmake it wrong.

Want canon that Jedi don't necessarily make superior pilots? Read I, Jedi. Corran Horn talks about going up against Tycho Celchu and almost loses, even with the Force. At *best* the Jedi pilot can manage a draw...and that's because Corran had massive starfighter experience before becoming a Jedi.

No Jedi powers in space.

None.
