"Maybe I'll make a pure-pilot on Starsider, no ground commitments or anything. I'll just have to find a good shipwright to help me out."

An idea that has crossed my mind as well... like obligations to three characters, two guilds, and two servers wasn't enough already. LOL

Just watched taht AVI..

Nice movie.

But, ahh, i cant shake the feeling that some of that fighting was staged.

Saw a B wing getting hit with the nice little red X's you get when hitting a friendly ship, and a WHOLE Lot of shooting, quite a few hits, but not alot of dying. I did like the missle shot throught the asteroid field that was a nice touch.

Well, the cameraman was flying undeclared. If he shot at something, you'd get the errors. Unless they grabbed some ofour pilots afterwards for more footage, though, nothing was staged. I couldn't believe that B-wing survived a couple engagements.

It's all 100% non-staged footage. As Halyn pointed out, I was undeclared, so while I'm certainly flying in a TIE cockpit-showing.. shooting at some ships, the lasers are really just transparent and weren't doing anything.. it was more for effect and to add a bit of change from the often too twirly chase cam


I was actually surprised there wasn't a lot of dying.. but keep in mindthat because of the nature of space combat, I missed several of the explosions and dying ships (only lasts a few seconds after all) and ended up getting a lot of 'interstitial footage' (which is natural, really.)


None of it was staged though. I had heard terrible things about how quick it is to die in space, even with the damage reduction, but some of the greener pilots flying TIEs were actually pretty darn good at evading fire!
