Thread: What consitutes harassment?

While farming for parts on the Evil Tyrant spawn lately I have had several people seek to push me off and generally drive me away from the area. Bumping my ship. Parking their ship either beside me or at times in front of my ship. Flying through the spawn. Trying to kill the ships at the same time. Seeking to outdamage me. And various actions designed to make me angry and leave. All things I regard as harassment.
While I don't think I have a right to this spawn anymore than anyone else I do think it is a first come first serve kind of deal. If asked I will share the spawn or even move on to others but tend to dig my heels in when pushed. Not once have these people simply asked me if they could use the spawn. I have rarely seen someone who can outdamage my X-wing and those that can can't move like it. I don't move in on others and expect the same kind of respect. I don't respond to this kind of behavior because it tends to encourage the children if they know it bothers you. I am usually done in 45 minutes and don't visit the area more than once a day. So I don't think I am being unreasonable to expect some civility and a degree of respect.

I hear ya mate and agree. I mean, yeh sure space is free to everyone, but some things are just common courtesy. I've been to the Evil Raider spawn many a time when it's been busy and I just send a tell asking how long the person/people are thinking of being there for and depending on how long, I'll return later.
Saying that though, I sent that tell once and what I got back was a "Go grind XP elsewhere n00b" to which I answered with a kind /ignore.
Have no time for morons, I do not.
Kayl... Most good pilots would love the chance of all those Imp fighters to kill 
But,
1. He dont have BS3.. He is doing pilot missions remember 
2. -Anyone- trying to farm tier1 ships in RoTW ships would fall prey even to a BS1 or 2
3. Hell I even think a PTrap might get em... lol

Trying to outdamage you, free for all, take a duty if you don't want competition.
Flying/parking in front or through you to annoy you away, definately harrassment.
I fly either duties or in deep space so I'm more worried about overt imps then fellow rebs trying to takethe spawns (good luck outdamaging my B-Wing 
)
Leaph and OP... When I run into some people like that.... I just disable the spawn... then they can sit and watch the shipsblow up by themselves
Did that a few times on SS when some pushy Imp JSF were trying to kill the Gunships I was targetting in Deepspace... Id just disable it and wait (and laugh at the JSF that didnt outdamage my Advanced)

Now that is one fun thing. Outdamaging people in pvp with my A-wing. I've achieved it vs. Heavy x-wings before and though I don't openly mock because that'd be bad form, if someone 'steals' my spawn, I'll gladly show them up by doing so.

I tried making a paper, origami A-wing but unfortunately I ran out of mass for the cockpit and canopy. Also, when I tried igniting te iron drives, the thing combusted

Awww, shucks, was looking forward to a paper A-Wing on my monitor. Guess the LEGO Y-wing LP stays a bit longer then.
I must admit that with the B-Wing's turnrate a good pilot in a properly re'd ship can blow targets before I'm done aiming
I was grinding xp with my toon who is going for the 9 aces once. I was like tier 1 or 2 at the time. A group of 3 ships came in and started pulling that crap. I just logged on my alt and got into my JSF, which never seems to lose loot rights for some reason, and sent them packing. If I remember right, they were in two x-wings and a kimo and they never got a single loot right from my jsf. lol
On the other side of the spectrum, I went to the exact spot the OP mentions and someone was already there camping it. I started to fly away and the guy sent me a tell asking ifI was there for xp. I responded that I was and he said he would disable everything for me. It worked out rather nice.
I can maneuver it into the overlapping blind spot of the 3 gunboats, really fast. I usually take out gun 2 on each first since you tend to end up behind them but if I'm in a hurry I can skip that, with 4 RE'd reward guns my cap always stays full, leaving me with 36xx energy to dump into my shields.
The B-Wing should be able to take a lot of punishment, the heavy cap with ctss4 makes it so
Someday in the future I might make a setup with 4 L-10 guns, that'll be real fun
