My only Gripe with the upgrades is when after the booster is used up and you are slowing back to normal speed at the very second you would resume top speed the ship stops to dead halt at 0. and then begins to slowly accelerate again.
Also during the deceleration after the boost the ship's control axis seem to change. Right is left and left is right and my down actually pitches down and my up actually pitches up instead of the other way around.
I doubt either is intended and I haven't thoroughly tested this yet to see if it is for all boosters on a yt-1300 or for all boosters on a POB ship and whether or not its just the POB booster. If anyone else has noticed this effect at all please let me know.
Only POB booster, all POB ships affected.
No all boosters will do it.

Didn't do it with my old lvl10 booster, though I wasn't runnign a POB engine at the time. Possibly caused by POB Engine + booster only... Too late for me to test, I'll do it in the morning if no one beats me to it.
My YT has always inverted the controls as it slowed down. It doesn't always stop after the boosted dies, but it usually does especially with the Elite booster.

I think its rediculous that a POB goes faster then my heavy x-wing....Thats what we call a balance problem.
That same POB is also much larger and less maneuverable. If it's going to try to pull any fast maneuvers, it'll have to slow way down. It's not altogether unreasonable, and helps grant the survivability POBs need to be useful.

loooks like we got alot of ballance going on
Fighters < Regular PoBs < Y-8 < Fighters < Regular PoBs < Bombers < Fighters < Regular PoBs < Y-8 < Bombers (and it circles)
I had no chance yet to test my nova in pvp. But it was fun to use it in pve. I think the changes are quiet well balanced from what i can tell now. You have to remember that you need several people to use it. So if you compare a pob in pvp you should remember that the crew in fighters would win against one fighter as well. So right now they are not as strong as four fighters, but i think a single pob is as good as a haevy xwing in pve as good as two when it comes to fighting big enemys. In my opinion its exactly the right way. You are not invulnerable (hitn: test direct fight against 3 GBs including frontal attacks hrhr) but you are not an easy target as well. I love it.
Btw. my Nova goes now 1870 with engine overload 4 and booster. For 14 booster ticks (i allways experiment on comsumption and energy first on my boosters so they run longer). That makes me go about 3km at that speed. But it takes then an awful long time to come down to normal speed and turn the beast hrhrl. Btwi think you can do a work around for the stopping problem when boosters run out. Just turn it off manual before it runs out of energy. I think that works.

We took a YT-1300 on the Kash YT mission last night. We got up to the 2 Tier 5 Gb's before I had to log, but we managed to tackle them with ease. The new Guns take out tier 5's no problem, and the shields give you the confidence to go toe-to-toe with the uber Tier 5 Gb's.
I just need my Nova to have a valet to clean the windows. Then I can take mine up and start getting some nice PvP kills again ![]()

Actually if you watch Ep IV again, Han says something about outrunning imperail cruisers, not the little system craft but the big ones. To me this implies that the bigger ships are infact faster.

Correct.
The Star wars RPG list's the ISD as being only slightly slower then an X-wing or TIE fighter. Size has nothing to do with speed in space, it's all mass versus thrust.

Wasn't the Falcon the "fastest ship in the fleet"?
The falcon was modified up the Yin Yang. It was faster then an ISD alright, somewhere around the speed of an A-wing I'd say.
