can the ship be traided to a person who had NOT completed the mission? and can that person then fly the ship?
No.
In order for a character to generate the deed, they have to have completed the quest. Same goes for the ARC fighter.

I outfitted my jsf with almost the same comps from my xwing, it beats the xwing hands down![]()
from your X-wing... so you went Imperial Pilot from Rebel? or can you fly an X-wing as an Imperial?
I am a rebel, I went imp long enuff to do the quest, then went back reb and reground reb pilot to tier 4 again.

I don't think Jedi have any real innate abilities as pilots. I think Anakin was a great pilot just because he was a great pilot.
Well your wrong, while its true not all Jedi were comfortable in the cockpit, those that were most definatly used the force to enhance their abilities.
Its like anything else. If your a Jedi, you can use the force to make yourself better at whatever you do.
unfortunately they have yet to implement any fs or jedi skill trees for piloting enhancement, which would be cool. On the factor of the factional alignment issue for getting a jsf, I do agree with making it an imp faction quest based on the fact that it is a ship that came from the jedis of the repbulic which became the empire therefor the ship design and manufacture of would be controlled by the empire. So from an rp/continuity factor it makes sense to have the jsf be imp based as far as acqusition of.

No. No no no no no no no no. NO. Why is everyone so stupidly bent on turning space into the ground game with button mashing buttons and skill mods? Space is (surprise!) based on individual skill.
A few thoughts:
- Half of the people griping about the Actis are upset simply over the name "Jedi." It's just a name, suck it up. I had to listen to a rebel whine all night long about this after I shot him down. Just because you Jedi ground like nuts on the ground doesn't entitle you to anything special in space.
- I've fought against one of these, wanna guess what rebel ship it reminded me of? Granted the Actis is superior to an A-Wing in stats, but essentially rebels are now dealing with a ship in the same way Imperials dealt with A-Wings. Again, suck it up. Unbalanced?A little. Unprecidented? No. Uncounterable? No.
- Most MMORPG's have expansions that come out with new equipment, making old equipment boarderline obsolete. So what if RotW introduced new, superior ships? I mean honestly...roll with the flow, and stay up to date. I'm having a blast flying my heavy TIE.

Just because you Jedi ground like nuts on the ground doesn't entitle you to anything special in space. Actually, above you say the space game should be based on individual skill yet the JSF is unbalanced therefore turns the space game into a "who has the best quest ship" game! And Im not a Jedi. I hate them waving their lightsticks in starport terminals when im trying to outfit my ships!
- I've fought against one of these, wanna guess what rebel ship it reminded me of? Granted the Actis is superior to an A-Wing in stats, but essentially rebels are now dealing with a ship in the same way Imperials dealt with A-Wings This is wrong because the Imperials had 3 ships superior to the Awing in a good pilots hands. Again, suck it up. Unbalanced?A little Totally. Unprecidented? No In space - yes. Uncounterable? No Yes - you tell me what of the preROTW ships counter the new ones - none.
- Most MMORPG's have expansions that come out with new equipment, making old equipment boarderline obsolete Apart from the CU when has this happened in SWG - this isnt any other MMORPG - besides those other MMORPGS release FREE content by and large. So what if RotW introduced new, superior ships? I mean honestly...roll with the flow, and stay up to date. I'm having a blast flying my heavy TIE. And wont it be fun in a month when everyone flys 1 or 2 ships rather than 1 of the 30 odd balanced ships we had before ROTW, balanced ships that are the quinesential Star Wars ships and were a lot of fun to fly
got shot down by a rebel in a eta-2 today. don't see what the big deal is. A) the hitbox is the same as a tie, yeah it looks bigger but it'spretty darn close. .B) it's good pvp has difficult to hit ships now, thisshould please all those people out there who think pvp is over too quickly.
irate about the eta-2s turn speed? why don't people complain about the similarly hitboxed heavy tie with similar turn rates and similiar mass? i don't see any "nerf heavy tie" threads out there. the z-95 hitbox isn't that big, where are the threads calling for that nerf?
you guys all have ships with similar stats, just slightly bigger hitboxes. to make up for that you have ungodly pve ships in the heavy xwing among others. where's the threads calling fora 3 gun imp fighter? you know what i could do with a heavy mass 3 gun ship in pve? and besides if you have a huge beef with imps getitng the eta-2, do what other rebels do and find a way to get the ship. unlike imps you now also have a great ship that's a prestige item as well.
mad your heavy fighter can't compete? newsflash, it isn't supposed to. complain about the lack of pvp heavy fighter content or capital ships. the ships definately have a place in pve now so don't complain too loudly.
i think the awing could be given a bit more handling and it probably will get a bit more, but it's honestly not that big of a deal. not everyone is going to be flying that ship exclusively and if they are, they are doing it for the novelty of flying a new ship, there are other fighters out there that are essentially the same thing.

ahm, jedis use their senses to drive this ship so thats why its a JEDI starfighter...
really??? I can fly it just fine and I ain't no glowy-bat punk. In fact, I never saw anything in the movie that indicated any magic powers necessary to fly it. You sure that you're not basing your assumptions on what some marketing idiot put on the side of a toy box?
The finished model of the Jedi starfighter was unveiled just a few weeks prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Project Engineer Walex Blissex led the crack team of engineers that developed the Delta-7 Aethersprite starfighter at the Kuat Systems Engineering Facilities. At a special ceremony at the Kuat Drive Yards, Kuati Senator Risi Lenoan and Jedi representatives Adi Gallia and Aayla Secura were on hand to officially launch the finished Delta-7 model. Earlier models were field-tested by Jedi Master Adi Gallia.
Though the standard Delta-7 is too small to carry an onboard hyperdrive, and must instead rely on a TransGalMeg Industries booster ring, there does exist a small number of advanced models with an onboard experimental lightspeed engine.During the Clone Wars, ace Jedi pilots like Anakin Skywalker and Saesee Tiin pushed the Delta-7 to its limits. Skywalker constantly tinkered with his starfighter, modifying its systems to optimize performance. Based on his innovations, Kuat Systems Engineering revisited the starfighter design and developed a bold and radical follow-up to the Delta-7 with its Eta-2 Actis interceptor. Anakin Skywalker was the first to pilot this new model, though other Jedi soon followed in his path, including Tiin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu.
Only a Jedi pilot would be brave enough to fly an Eta-2 into combat. That's not to disparage its capabilities; rather, it is a very advanced high-performance craft that devotes most of its system resources to pure speed and power. It does so at the expense of heavy flight instruments, sensors and shields. A Jedi Knight's attunement to the Force more than compensates for these compromises.
In compressing -- yet increasing -- the performance of the Delta-7 into a frame no bigger than an airspeeder, Kuat engineers faced many challenges. Key among them was overheating. A sophisticated system of pumps, heat sinks and extendable radiator wing panels help draw heat away from the Eta-2's miniature reactor.
why on gods green earth do you know this.....
this is all very interesting stuff, but i think what i am REALLY asking is this:
are there any REBELS who did NOT complete the mission themselves FLYING THE SHIP?
for example the person who's imperial ALT completed the mission and then gave the ship to the main...is the main character a Rebel?
can the ship be traided to a person who had NOT completed the mission? and can that person then fly the ship?

On another note, since the ship one receives is from Darth Vader with the words (paraphrasing here) "In order to instill the necessary respect among your men, use my old fighter to show that you doing my bidding". In other words, it's not just a "Jedi start fighter", it's Annakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter.
