yah that fleet of y-8's... (equipied with mining gear, and considering the cheep stuff the mining guild gives you, not good mining gear eather XD)

Soo. if it has NO lootbox.. where to the parts you loot from Asteroid Bandits go?

Naw, still don't agree. For one, considering the rarity of good loot drops, I don't want to waste a single item. But that's just me. Who knows what amazing part might have dropped off those pirates you had to kill?
The other side of it - SWG and SW alike are filled with pilots who refitted ships to do what they wanted. If someone decides to take a giant flying target out into space refitted for combat, let 'em. From an efficiency standpoint I still don't think they'll be any better than a single fighter, so a loot box isn't going to hurt that much.

There better because... Well you could just go to Mos Eisly on any given moment and pick up an entire crew of wide eyed noobs, park your Y-8,then nap in your pilot chair as they blow away T4 blacksun while you hope to loot a helm while listening to the rythym of T4 blaster fire hammering away at your new10k+ elite shield.

Oh i have no problem with a loot box, but i think that turning a mining ship into a more capable combat vessel than the current POB's is going to do to the original POB's what the RoTWfighters did to the original fighters.
As much as i like the POB changes, I honestly think wewon't see more Decis, Novas and YTs up there, just a whole bunch of Y-8s. (IMO the Y-8 needs to be turned into a shipwright schem too)
Ireally hope i'm wrong, but that's the way i think it'll go.

It's a mining ship, not a warship... it's quite ironic thatthe convoy of Y-8's that need an escort in the original quest would now stack more firepower than a fleet of Decimators, never mind the single fighter sent to watch overthem.
/agree too ... but...the Millenium Falcon was only a freighter before Lando and Han customizedit and now, it's a warship. The "Lady Luck" was a simple yacht before Lando began his work, etc.
I think that the Y-8 should be able to become a warship if the owner choose to do so but with a "cost".
I don't really know how this cost can be put in game but I would love to be able to customize any POB ship (well, I know there isn't many POB ships in game but maybe it won't be like that forever).
Maybe an increase of decay rate of military equipment onboard ? or maybe every time you fire, the weapon can become disabled and need repairs ?
Other solution : put in game quickly the YT 2400 and other POB "military" ships

I have to say, it may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't believe the Y-8 should have a loot box, for the sole reason that it should not become *the* POB vessel to fly. Personally, I'd be just as happy to see the gun mounts allowed to have Mining Lasers or Tractor Beams only...
