You are missing the point. He isn't saying that he isn't strong enough for weapons, but that the weapons and player shields do to much damage in PVP, compaired to the NPC shields that seem to be at a MUCH higher level than players.

He probably used the "]" key to specifically target your components, either reactor or engine.
Were they 4 constant shots, or did he fire a ton at you and only hit you 4 times? Casue if it was 4 constant, you were flying in a straight line, its your own fault.

have you guys ever played a flight game where you shoot each other? The point is to dodge, get behind, and kill. Not to rely on armor and and shields to keep you alive. You have to outmanuver your opponent, then kill them. Agility and speed will out weight fire power any day when you are dog fighting with a real opponent.
Most dog fights are ended as soon as somebody gets behind someone else, they're dead. Unless you can react fast enough to manuver out from their fire and escape their volley, game over man, game over.
So go ahead, complaing about pvp not being able to take more then a couple hits, you're not supposedto, you're in a fighter not a cruiser, now get over it and learn how to dodge.
Fine then do the same thing for PvE if you get hit once you are a dead duckie. Oh wait that would not work would it. Or better yet let me kill that TIE Advanced in front of me in 1 hit and get my 3k xp and move on. Oh wait that will not work. Oh let me fire a missile that does less damage than my guns.
Let me get in an F-16 and let the bullets hit my shields. Oh forgot there is none. I better use my gun only because my missiles do far less damage. Oh yeah that is right missiles blow anything outta the air.
Sorry have a hard time swallowing your excuses on this one. So what you are saying is a tier 1 should be able to take out a B-Wing no problem. Sheesh why did I ever leave my starter ship.
Oh yeah it was not good enough to fight anything except another player it seems.
I love the visceral PvP of this game, and that a Tier 3 or even Tier 2 could tear apart my flimsy little space frame if he managed to get behind me to fire 3 bolts. I have PvPed a lot in JTL, I have ground out 3.5 Million experience, at 7000 exp a kill in Kessel, and engaged in at least 30 PvP conflicts. I have died 4 times in the course of all of that. Once to a group of NPC A-Wings, twice to Gunboats when I slipped out of the safe spot and took a hit from turrets, and once to another player.
He had earlier in the evening informed me that he wanted a truce, and that we would not fire on each other, I agreed, not wanting to make anyone's experience less than pleasant. Later on he hit me with a bolt and I turned and got behind him, to see if he would continue to aggress, but he flew off. A moment later he returned and dumped a full salvo into me. I consider that death my fault, and for that reason I no longer accept truces. This may make me a griefer, but since that encounter I have yet to die to a PC in the Kessel region, so I consider the whole system to be fine. That I can survive indefinitely in a free PvP zone, and that I can dismantle entire groups of opposing craft who all outmass me, is a sign that the mechanics of dogfighting work. I relish the day someone comes in an A-Wing, outmaneuvers me and takes me down, I will be happy to have had a good dogfight. I do not relish the day damage is reduced and it takes 5 passes to kill a ship, because at that point I will be forced to abandon my fast agile and fragile craft and go to a massive damage pouring tank for a laborious slugfest, just like on the ground.

It was me flying around and him flying around. I saw He has accpted your duel he was straight ahead of me. I went to monve outta the path cause head on is dumb. I saw 4 sets of bolts and I saw the space station.

Exactly thank you. If you are gonna do it do it right. You want me to die fast then they should die just as fast. A 400 weapon taking out player 900 shields in 1 hit. Or my 1k ion, 900 blaster and 1k disrupter firing all at once having to hit a disabled TIE good shield side 10 times before I get to the actual ship. that means that the enemy TIE has a shield that is about oh 59k using the same math as the player data. Show me a shield that is 59000 per side that will fit on a fighter.
Vs Master Pilots they seem to take a damn beating ...not so much the one shot kill for me (im 4 1 1 1))
I think PVP is nice but id like to see shields last a little longer but overall I like it.

How the hell can you be 4111?! You must finish all the tier 2 boxes before you can do the mission for a tier 3 box.
