Yeah my QID is a lot better on drain than that Mark V

One key thing that causes the crafted engines to trump the RE'd ones....
A pilot can PvP outside of deepspace with out worring about decaying the engine as it can be replaced.
Thus, a pilot can make riskier manouvers and push the envelope that much tighter...
It sorta gives me the psychological edge...
