Thread: How Does This Crafted Mark V Compare to Your RE'd QID's?

Now mind you the mass, roll, and energy is going to be worse, but considering its crafted I think they have a place as a PvP component. Isn't that a Mark V
The speed on mine was horrible so I wasn't too terribly concerned about having the best of the best parts mixed in so I used what I had on hand and kept some of the better parts for if I ever pick up a faster qid (I got screwed, 3 times I've done it, all under 90, friend gave me a 93ish speed one they got).

With EO4 doing 10x drain, I'll take RE'd any day. Your engine has 800 more drain then my RE'd L8's. 8000 more drain after overloads. Oh, I got lucky on the QID and patient on collecting loot, so I beat every stat on the crafted, though that is more an exception then the rule.
In PvE, you can use a crafted engine. PvP will remain the domain of the RE'd for now.
Mass: 24k (ish)
speed: 106 (yeah, I was lucky on that one ^_^ )
PYR 75.2/74.9/72.1

With EO3 and RO3/RO4 there usually isn't a problem, you're right there.
Yea maybe I can hit almost 15k energy with my mark 3 reactors and thats only 7 or 8k mass. Mark 2's with 3k mass are at 13600. All i'm saying is that you put an engine like this (use eta2 for example) 1 mark 4 shield, 1 mark 4 gun, a half arsed capacitor, and a IRII and chaff launcher in a ship. Then you have a competitive PvP ship for all those people in our guilds who don't live in space like we do (you should see the stats on my qid). Even if you only run EO3. I bet I could kill 95% of the players on my server with this ship. Personaly I run a lvl 10 re job for an engine.

waiting on uber stuff to do a second one since getting an 83.4 yaw lvl 10 engine
You sound like you're trying to convince us of something when you're talking of PYR, to be honest. ![]()
You can say that the difference between 73 and 75 isnt that much, but that's only in the arithmetic. When you're talking of actual applied engine use, it means I turn inside you. When you couple that with the implied knowledge in this thread that your engine will be sold to JSF users who "dont spend their life in space" and further couple that with the fact that the person with even a crappily RE'd QID sounds like someone who spends time in space, the result is pretty clear. Your engine will sell, and when someone loads it they'll say 'oooh lookit how fast I can go!' But when they run into that player with the 75 PYR QID in PvP,4 times out of 5, they will die.
I'm not saying that to be hard or mean, and you should read it with a pretty light tone. It's just a statement of the facts of life when the numbers are applied "up there"
Mass - 22,567
Drain - 1567
Top Speed 99.8
Pitch 76.3
Yaw - 75.2
Roll - 78.4
Your crafted engine is good. Crafted components still cant compare to well REed stuff. Our engines have 10k less mass, half the drain, 3-4 more points in YPR, over 10 inroll on mine, and your speed beats or matches the most of ours, depending on what reward speed we got.
