Can any of you long term JTL vets confirm for me that the warlord class cruisers have been nerfed? When it first was spotted, i seem to remember it having as many guns as a corvette, with a longer range than the gunboats. It scared the hell out of me at tier 3.
Now though, when im ready to kill it, it seems to have withered slightly. Anyone else notice this?
Bonus: The ship class makes a scripted appearance at the end of the Lord Cyssk(sp) quest, which is the culmination of a long hard set of quests.

On the other hand, as a ship that I've only seen as a targetable enemy (red dot!), it probably hasn't won any "Good Citizenship" awards....

But on the other hand.. even thou its red to me, it dont start fireing unless I start shooting at it..
I saw it back in the early tiers 3 or 4, cant remember, and said "one day im gonna kill that one.. it looks like a challange"

The Dark Eclipse is reportedly a Black Sun ship--someone a while back got a Black Sun helmet off it. She's Warlord-class with a cruising speed of 299, I believe. Armed withfive laser cannons, she's a bit larger than any of the gunboats at about 170 meters long if you use the in-game waypoints, but if you measure with an X-wing as yardstick (X-wing = 12.5 meters long), she works out to around 125 meters. The safe zone for hitting her and not getting hit by the guns is different than a more standard gunboat. Furthermore, she has a blind spot under the back right behind the engines with, oh, a fifty meter margin of error--probably less. Drift to the side or too far back and she'll toast you.
And yes, a Warlord-class makes an appearance during the Lord Cyssc quests. That ship has a much higher top speed and is equipped with missiles.

Heh...almost all pilots have an obsession of some kind. Our last pilot corr: the Corvette. Leaph: the A-wing. Me: The Dark Eclipse. I just find something inherently cool about that ship.

how many ppl would have purchased ToOW that didn't if this ship was the expansion ship instead of what we got?
I actually think I might have, just for this ship alone
