I'm practicing my bwing skills with the Kashyyyk space station mission (Tier 5 Ghrag mercenaries).

I've got the fighters down no problem, but when that Tier 5 gunboat appears once the fighters are taken care of...I can't survive the encounter.

I've got good 74/75 YPR engines, my weapons are low at 2500 max dam (all 4 of them) and I've got missiles (Mark III and II proton).

My shields are 2555 with 14+ recharge, and I run Reactor overload 3, Cap overload 4, and I use cap to shield shunt 4 when required.

With a straight-on fight, my shields go down too quickly to finish off the gunboat, which has 3 tracking turrets.

Do you spin with the bwing in your approach?

I appreciate any gunboat destroying tactics (in a bwing) that you can give me.

Cordially,

Thank you!

I'll upgrade my guns to 3 or 4k max damage, and also my missile launchers...perhaps space bomb launchers?

I'll see how it fares against a Tier 5 gunboat with the new loadout.

I'm all ears for other tips on gunboat takedown witha bwing

If you're not using an L10 Engine with at least 80 YPR, its not gonna be much use in a dog fight.

I will have to disagree there. I flew my B-wing with a lvl 6 RE engine. PYR all 70 or less. And I managed quite well in both PVE and PVP. I will not deny that higher end components would have let me do better, but to say that without them makes it is not of much use is not entirely accurate.
