Rumor has it that there is an expansion in the works that includes additional planets. The planets are only accessible if you own JTL and if you have the prestige points to pay the entry fee. Just a rumor......

Yeah that would be cool. I'd like to see them be used to encourage people on the ground to get in space more. Things like uniforms/clothing, helmets that can be purchased with prestige points but wearable on the ground also. The ability to purchase new paint texture styles for our ships with prestige only would be cool. Maybe even being able to purchase a timed usage (hourly?)"Ultimate Move" astromech chip with prestige. Maybe use prestige in a pilot ranking system. That would get more people in deep space and kessel. Right now competition in space isn't documented at all, nothing to show for except "yeah I killed a lot of people, take my word for it".
There's a lot of potential to put prestige to use and get more people wanting to play JTL. Just hope they don't wait too long.

Well as near as I can tell they're worthless.
When I dropped Imperial Ace I lost 91million prestige. So I'm kind of glad they have no real use atm.
I'm around 10 mil Pilot Prestige now, and once I bag enough Genuine Sienar guns I'll be going back to Imperial, thus dumping them again...

The only thing I can find to do with them currently is use them to go to deep space. While VERY cool... it gets old fast

The best idea I had for using them would be to buy additional ship certs from an "aligned" list. The big flaw to that is its not really appropriate for imperial navy pilots to be flying anything other than imperial navy craft. Certs you buy would stay with you, and become active when you reach the correct tier (e.g. you buy an Awing cert while in Corsec, then drop it for SA, you'd get the Awing back when you hit the tier4 ships box).

Actually, it makes no sense at all for a "Covert" pilot to be flying any kind of Imperial craft.
We should be flying "civilian" craft, unless we're overt.

PP should be like FP on ground. Buy faction Pets. Gunners whos acurracy ggrow with time spent in the Gunners slot. Think Pets 1(50). Imp would get the Imp gunner reb a Nice looking one Maybe one of the Ensighn ya see spawn in bestine. Privateer gunners choose a NPC of the Pirates lol.
Engineer Droids or NPC pets. Loadem up with repair kits and The more repairs they make the faster they get.
Factional uniforms from you NPC you did your master mission from. Imp is faily easy Black uniforms worn by the NPC. Rebs and Privateers would take thought im sure.
How about PP for those Ship parts we so Badly need for MP ships?

It would be nice if we could use these on "pets" such as crewmembers for our MP ships, so they could take the operations and gunner's seats if you are shorthanded. Or to even buy "prototype" factional ships maybe?
Or..just let me go to the Village and dump them into FS XP until they figure out what they want us to do with them.

Close to a 100 million here (including surrendered for new pilor profession), no clue have not read that far...
