As an aside here, I don't believe it's necessary any longer to actually DO Vader's quest to fly the Actis. As long as you have deep enough pockets to buy the deed, you could fly it regardless of faction. I conjecture this because I recently did the quest with a brand new Imp pilot I made, and was able to generate and fly the ship as soon as he gave me the deed. Before, you had to complete the space mission before you could actually fly it.

I'm guessing the same now goes for all the reward ships that are cross-faction certification, such as the ARC-170 and the B-22.

Always were able to just good to get badge just in case your supposed to have badge and they fix eventually

Could be an either-or situation then. All the characters I've done the quest with have been new characters without any badges, and until this character (who had a few), I wasn't able to use the ship until completing the quest.

The easiest Imperial squadron is Inquisition. The easiest squadron (not just neutral, but easiest in the game) is CorSec. I'd honestly recomend CorSec. For starters, the JSF quest won't take you very long. A couple of hours, give or take, depending on how many people decide to do the quest at the same time, and are thus camping the corpse waiting for the item to spawn. So you won't have very long to enjoy being an Imperial. As such, if you want to go back to being a Rebel after that, CorSec is a much better choice for the following reasons:

1. You can switch factions at will, meaning you can become a Rebel as soon as the JSF quest is done
2. Easiest squadron in the game
3. I'd take a Borstel over a Boltdriver anyday
4. Haor Chall engine to RE with your QID (if you haven't done so already). You won't find an engine with better armor/hp
5. A well equipped Dunelizard will outfly just about any Imperial ship from a PvE standpoint, so if you do decide to do the space mission, it will be easier. Just watch out, you can shoot your allies, too
6. If you haven't done the Advanced X-wing quest yet, you can do the Vaksai mission (after you switch back to being a ground Rebel) and the Advanced X-wing mission, getting you an extra badge (this may not intice you, but I'm a badgehor) and maybe a chassis to sell (depending on how soon you want to go back to being a Rebel)
