Sorry to hijack, but I'd like a little clarification if possible.

Are the Vaksai/AdvX/RGI quests repeatable if you switch factions, as you imply? Do you have to do the entire quest line over again, or just the final quest?

The easiest Imperial squadron is Inquisition. The easiest squadron (not just neutral, but easiest in the game) is CorSec. I'd honestly recomend CorSec. For starters, the JSF quest won't take you very long. A couple of hours, give or take, depending on how many people decide to do the quest at the same time, and are thus camping the corpse waiting for the item to spawn. So you won't have very long to enjoy being an Imperial. As such, if you want to go back to being a Rebel after that, CorSec is a much better choice for the following reasons:

1. You can switch factions at will, meaning you can become a Rebel as soon as the JSF quest is done
2. Easiest squadron in the game
3. I'd take a Borstel over a Boltdriver anyday
4. Haor Chall engine to RE with your QID (if you haven't done so already). You won't find an engine with better armor/hp
5. A well equipped Dunelizard will outfly just about any Imperial ship from a PvE standpoint, so if you do decide to do the space mission, it will be easier. Just watch out, you can shoot your allies, too
6. If you haven't done the Advanced X-wing quest yet, you can do the Vaksai mission (after you switch back to being a ground Rebel) and the Advanced X-wing mission, getting you an extra badge (this may not intice you, but I'm a badgehor) and maybe a chassis to sell (depending on how soon you want to go back to being a Rebel)

how exactly is corsec easier? i have no problem at all with the missions really.. they all require the same amount of experience so.. i guess they are all the same to me.

i want the JSF but i dont want to regrind the whole pilot tree :/

the neutral ships are just.. so ugly.. but i guess since i did the majority of rebel pilot in a grevious, it doesnt matter much.

i really want that damn JSF. its smaller than the A-wing (i took many screen shots to compair sizes), it has 2 weapons and higher mass. makes my favorite ship (awing) seem so obsolete.

my pilot is my jedi. i would get the JSF with my main char but then u cant transfer it over >

id like to be a smuggler in a yt1300 but im stuck with jedi skills (no im not surrendering them).

i dont know.. maybe i should just regrind rebel pilot under a different trainer since ive spent so much money on the ships already..

this sucks

CorSec has very few escorts, making it much less of a bother than other squadrons. This is especially nice when compared to the Imperial Storm Squadron or the Neutral Smugglers' Alliance, both of which have hellishly long escorts. A fighting mission is a fighting mission, not much changes about those, but escorts bore me to sleep more often than not.

And no, the RGI/Advanced X/Vaksai missions are not repeatable. There is a bug that allows Neutral pilots to do the last two missions for both the Kashyyyk station (Vaksai) and their ground factions' station (RGI or Advanced X). So if you're into collecting badges, or just happen to like doing the mission, it's something to consider.

currently using mainly adv X wing

engine - lvl 10 98.5 spd PYR approx 80

weapons - 2.9k-5k vs .82/.82 .38 refire lvl 10

- 2.9k-4.7k vs .82/.82 .38 refire lvl 10

- 2.1k-2.8k vs .69/.69 .38 refire lvl 6

DI - prenerf

capacitor - 40.9 regen 1062 max lvl 2

sheild - 2k F/B lvl 7 RE'd

reactor - 13624 gen lvl 1 (AWESOME)

booster - lvl 4 reward RE'd

I occasionally swap for lvl 8 engine to add in lvl 8 reward gun RE

corsec is the one if you do freelance, havoc is easiest/vortex fastest overall for rebel of ones I've done (up to 2 each faction)

also if you have an imperial/neutral pilot friend you have no need to actually regrind pilot until after you have JSF done cause last mission can be done in a turret just need to be imperial to do it

Meh, my hvy-X is a work in progress but this is my current loadout:

Reactor - L7 Crafted 19k mass 16k gen (run on OL4)

Engines - L9 Crafted 59.7 pyr 115 speed (run on OL4)

Shield - L8 reward shield, need to get low drain/mass high regen to RE it with

Capacitor - L6 RE'd 1072 energy 47.5 regen (run on OL4)

Boosters - L4 RE'd reward boosters (last about 10secs)

Droid Interface - Prenerf 14.8 speed 480mass

Weapons - 3x L7 Crafted roughly 2500dmg fast-refire (run on OL3)

hoping to RE my armor and shields to lower mass, get a 70ish pyr engine, and get a lighter reactor in time, but it's a functional PvE ship for now.

engine: 102 speed 60 pyr 13k mass

weapon 1 & 2 1500-2500 13k mass .26 refire

shield: 1800/1800 12k mass

capacitor: 800 energy, .. mass... i think very low.. like 900

armor: well its all decayed really..

front: 100/1200 7k mass

back 1200/1200 12k mass

you dont even need to do the last part of the quest to get the JSF i thought.

vader gives u the JSF and u tell him to screw off & go back to being rebel

As an aside here, I don't believe it's necessary any longer to actually DO Vader's quest to fly the Actis. As long as you have deep enough pockets to buy the deed, you could fly it regardless of faction. I conjecture this because I recently did the quest with a brand new Imp pilot I made, and was able to generate and fly the ship as soon as he gave me the deed. Before, you had to complete the space mission before you could actually fly it.

I'm guessing the same now goes for all the reward ships that are cross-faction certification, such as the ARC-170 and the B-22.

You're misremembering. You never had to do the space mission to fly it; you only had to have Vader hand it to you. Nothing's been changed.

Enjoy. Btw, this thing gives good JSF pilots on Starsider a run for their money at times.
