Ships that travel at 500+ don't need escorts? :/

And once you'd killed off a bunch of bandits, the escorted ship would be 4-5k away - completely vulnerable!

do excort duty missions ever end? i know that kill missions end.

I'd love to have an escort mission with, say, a Tier 3 freighter that's moving at around 800 or so. You'd have to really be moving to keep up, and it would spawn Tier 5 TIEs that come racing in. Either you get them on the first pass, or you keep going. It would be way faster-paced, and would make it more important to try to get your kill on the first pass.

Oh tell me about it - that was always my biggest beef with the targetting system!

Any other squadron except Storm FTW
