Thread: The Never Ending Mission

Hello


Ok i am fairly new to this game so sorry if i come across greener than grass lol


I became a freelance pilot, the first and second missions were simple - go, kil, return

But im on the 3rd one now ( told ya i was new ) where i have to go meet a freighter and escort it to a specific place.

My problem comes in after around 5 min's of shooting the black sun's ships down, my freighter just stops moving and the black sun just keep comming.


Last night i must have killed like 50 black sun things and nothing, does this mission ever end?

What do i have to do to complete this mission man!!

can no one remember when they first became a freelance pilot?


What did you have to do, how many did you have to kill or how long does it last, i am seriously stuck on it and i dont want to go imp/reb just yet, i would like to stay neutral for just a bit longer untill i can make up my mind so i need to complete this mission but i cant

Are you doing a duty mission? What level pilot are you?

If you're in the first Tier, go to your trainer once you're ready to be trained and see if he/she/it has a new mission for you.

On the other hand, there are some pretty long escorts out there..

I can relate to that - personally I never take escorts if I can help it.... I've once esorted the same ship for over an hour before. Nightmare!

This is the third training mission, not a duty mission. And yes, it should end. I have never seen the freigher just stop like that; sounds like a bug.


When I did the mission, I think there were 10 or so waves of baddies.


I suggest just clearing the mission from your data pad and asking for it again.

I remember this bug. My escort shipwas stuck at end of sector.

Why is it you never get to escort a 500+ speed ship?

If any of the escorts moved at 500+ (which might be a bit more realistic for higher tier frieghters), then escort missions wouldnt take nearly as long and people wouldnt be getting the urge to pull their hair out.



If SwordMage's suggestion doesnt work, all you can really do is submit a ticket and pray they help you.

A very fun escort mission is the corvette in kash space. Flying CAP for a capital ship is really cool IMO.

Try doing Storm Squad as your first pilot profesion If i ever have to do another escort i'm going to have a nervous breakdown
