Thread: How quick is it grinding a second pilot mastery?

Just to clarify, you get an xp bonus for each distinct pilot profession you master, not for each squadron. So if for example you master Vortex and then Crimson Phoenix, you still only get 2x xp. Once you master a Freelance or Imperial squadron, then the bonus goes up, to a max of 4 times the xp if you master all three pilot professions.

Ok, finished mastering my second squadron last night. So... it took me a couple weeks to get my first Ace under Black Epsilon and I needed some help from about 3,3,2,2 till master. Last friday I dropped my Black Epsilon skills, started fresh as Imperial Inquistion. I spent a total of around 18 hours to grind through Imperial Inquistion solo this time.

I had the x2 Ace Bonus this time so it really did help in terms of exp grinding. Otherwise I think it was easier/faster to Ace my second because I already had the ships, I already had really good gear, and I already knew how to fly.

In my opinion it is worthwhile to do multiple Ace's. You get to collect mass amounts of looted components, reward components, not too mention I made around 750k through out the process without selling one piece of loot. So, if you feel that JTL lost a bit of it's fun after Ace, this is a good option to get some additional fun out of it.

(Personally I think I'll go Ace the Jabba Nuetral Pilot then finish off the Imperials by hitting Storm Squadron.)

There is no peace, there is anger.
There is no fear, there is power.
There is no death, there is immortality.
There is no weakness, there is the Dark Side. I am the Heart of Darkness.
I know no fear, but rather I instil it in my enemies. I am the destroyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.
All the Universe bows before me, I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life, in the death of the light.

I think I am going to go back for Ace #4 tomorrow. I wonder if I can do it all in one night now. I will be getting the maximum bonus for all of my xp so that will definitely help grind out tiers 1,2, and 4. Heh. And Vegitaa I do recommend Jabba's if you are going neutral because you will be able to blast both IMp and Rebs at your will and neither will be hostile to you. Fun fun in Kessel... Mwuhahaha....

The easiest thing I have found for Privateers is this (similar solution would probably work for Rebs and Imps):

After attaining master, but before dropping your skills, supe-up your Dunelizard with your best equipment that'll fit. Leave the components in the ship and do not redeed the vessel. When you give up the skills, and begin a new squadron at Novice Pilot, you will not be able to use it yet. But as soon as you reach 1000 - since the Dunelizard is a Tier 1 ship - you will gain the Cert for it and be able to step in and fly it, even if it still has Level 8 shields and Level 7 lasers! Your Cert level only determines whether or not you can load components onto a ship, it never checks the level of the components ON the ship. You still have to do the silly missions to advance, but you will fly through xp.

The XP is a Master Pilot bonus, only. Unless he happens to have also dropped an Ace title or three, he won't get any.

no, u can go afk and get all the exp the pilot gets without lifting a finger

The question was: Do your passengers also get the Master Pilot XP bonus if YOU (the pilot) are qualified for it?

The answer is: NO. He will only get the standard XP, not the bonus.

Sorry for not being clearer, the first time.
