It will sit in your quest journal, but as long as it isn't in your datapad (and you should be able to abort it there) then you should be able to do a mission for your trainer.

The Shiro Clan of TC -
...has successfully tracked Tiggs
...is still tracking down more bugs
NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

You can't drop the Y8 mission. I've tried both from the quest panel and from the guy who gave it. That is why this bug sucks.

Okay... use Control-D to open the DATAPAD. Click on the DATA tab of the datapad. The space mission will look like two pale green links from a chain. The radial menu for the mission should have a fail option or you can simply delete it.

Are you saying that you can't delete the mission from the datapad?

The missions do not show up in the datapad. Just the quest journal. Not all missions, just the annoying ones like the Y-8.

The quest show up in the quest viewer but not the datapad. That is why you can't delete. Not all missions do that. Just the annoying ones like the Y-8.

My Y-8 quest was in my datapad. I was able to delete it just fine.
