Sorry, we're not adding player Lambda shuttles.

Yep, I was also quite miffed about the lack of the Imperial Navy in space, all we have are a few TIEs flying around for no apparent reason.

I was playing X-wing: Alliance again yesterday, forgot how fun it is to fly against a proper ISD with its escort!

If I can't kill it or be killed in it, I don't want to fly it.

As for Naboo fighters, I'm thinking you mean the N1? (as in the Yellow and silver ones), no I disagree. Those fighters are exclusive to the Royal Family of Naboo and since the Empire basically owns the place now I just think it'd look silly.

If we get new ships, I want them to be a.Combat vessels and b. relevant to the timezone. Yup, I appreciate we have relic ships atm, but hey we don't have to add more into the fray. Lets think forward if anything.

your arguement about the time period is irrelevant. At this time, there was no such thing as Tie Interceptors, Tie Advanced, Tie Aggressors, Gunboats, Oppressors,Awings, Bwings, Nova's, Decimators, and so on. And most of these ships are never mentioned at any time in any of the books or comics either. Why isn't the Defender in the game?

Honestly, I agree, this is a certain time period and we should be RPing in it that time period, but with the amount of jedi and all the other crap the DEVs keep bringing into the game from the past and the future, I have come to terms that it is just a game, the movies have no bearing on the game AND the books in the future are not going to be referencing anything in the game. So that is all this is, a spin-off of the SW Universe.

I have seen the future. It's glow-stick orientated.

Hell, I know that, but actually A-wings were coming in around this time zone. You didn't read my post properly. I acknowledged that swg doesn't fit the time zone..I was just saying it was needless to make it worse by adding even more non-relevant things in. Therefor, I am being relevant.

I still want my T-wing. That could be a great freelance fighter.

Taken from here.
The original design of the T-Wing Starfighter came from the drawing board of Incom, shortly after the time of the battle of Yavin. However due to a stroke of good luck and a careless lapse in security, corporate spies from up and coming Corman Shipyards managed to infiltrated the research and development labs where the prototype was under construction. Once on the inside, the spies liberated the ship designs. Corman took the pilfered plans and quickly produced a knock-off clone of the ship, cutting corners where they could and rushing it to market a month before Incom unveiled their final product. Incom took the tiny company to court over the pirated design, but as adapt as Corman was at stealing other people's ideas, they were even more adept at avoiding restraining orders, cease and desist orders, court injunctions and other machinations of the law. As the court battle dragged on, production of the T-Wing clones continued.

The T-Wing is the pinnacle of cheap design. The seat covering would cause a rash after long term sitting in some races. The climate control is just adequate for space travel- and no more. The inflight entertainment consists of a tinny sounding music play back unit on an out of date format, and the paint job generally peeled after just a few flights. If an X-Wing is a Lamborghini, then the T-Wing is a Le' Car.

Eventually the lawsuit was resolved, but not because of any victory by Incom. One day the Vixprex of Corman took the bulk of the corporation's capital, and fled for a warm beach on a planet far away with his secretary. In the resulting power vacuum, company personal either tried to get what was left of the pie for themselves or diverted the blame to someone else. The final result was Corman's remaining inventory being sold off at cut-rate prices to cover the company's bankruptcy, and the T-Wing scrapped as a production line. Due to the mammoth production run of the ships coupled with the low, low cost, the T-Wing can still be found in far and wide corners of the galaxy- at least the ones that are still running, that is.

Now, really... What freelance scoundrel with a sense of humor and a high tolerance for discomfort wouldn't want to fly one of those things? And it could be the freelance PVP starfighter!

On the subject of Star Wars ships, and further on the subject of the Google search that got me the above quote, I also found this. Which should be good for hours of fun on various different designs of starships from the movies, the EU, SWG, and beyond that one might want to see in game. Though, oddly, it doesn't include the T-Wing from X-Wing Alliance, but from some other EU source.

Of course.

You'll be given the UBOR-JETEYE-STORFIGHTOR by Obi-Wan, in return for killing 7 nunas.
