If you're at the point (in PvP OR PvE) where you NEED your ship's chassis to soak damage you're screwed.
Most of the hardcore PvP pilots especially will 1-shot you no matter your combination of shields, armor and/or chassis HP.

So yes, I would say it's extremely viable still.



If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.
