Do the quest ships (ARC-170, JSF, B-22, Heavy X-wing) ever wear out completely if you don't use them for PVP?

Never to the point they cannot be used, they will reach 10 hitpoints and 10 points of armor and stop decaying there, like any other chassis.

Really, if you use the Deep Space repair jump, they can theoretically last indefinitely.

As with any chassis, they'll eventually get down to 10hp and no lower.
All this means is your chassis can no longer soak damage once an enemy is through your shields and/or armor.

So to answer your question in a word: No.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

I'm sorry to be such a noob, but what does the Deep Space repair jump do exactly?

And what is the original condition in an JSF, just out of curiosity?

It will give you decay free repair, but you need to be an ace to access deep space. Original condition on a JSF is 1650 I believe.

As a Master Pilot, you can jump into Deep Space, then return to wherever else you came from and be fully repaired without decay. The original condition to the best of my knowledge for all quested ships is 2000 hit points.

I edited my original post there, I was wrong about that, its just hit points.

Upon hypering out of Deepspace your ship's chassis and all components are repaired completely and without any decay.
Cost = 30kPrestige.

For most of us it's the last thing we do prior to landing, whether we were actually IN Deepspace or not.

I have never died in my JSF and it is at 1650.

Caveat, I wasn't 100% sure. 2000 is the Heavy X-Wing's condition, and I believe another one of the reward ships.

My Vaskai was 2000 when I first got it. Just saying that if it helps.

OK, I'm just hoping the ship won't be totally useless once it reaches condition 10
