Other... I like the way they are now but I really don't care if they fix WO3. Like I tell everyone that complains about thier cap not recharging fast enough... "Shoot less... hit more."

I'm ok with the droid commands as they are, with the exception of the time it takes the droid to run them individually. Let's face it, a Level 6 Astromech should be able to cue them up, so you could hit them all in a row. Let the time still be there for them to take effect, say 2 minutes, but I should be able to order the droid to execute then one right after another. Hell, I can give photoshop commands like this IRL, after all.

Maybe a second look at the commands that no one uses?? I have never "equalized my engine output", never caused my weapons to use less energy, never "tuned" anything, they're pointless.

Possibly increase the amount of custmization? Say you execute your droid commnands, then have a few "shunts" available to increase capactitor power, or increase engine reactor drain casusing a bit more speed, or throw all shield power to your engines, etc?? Dunno, I'm not sure...

EVERYTHING should have been more like the sim series. The only thing I like better about JTL is that missiles are not as deadly. E/W/S is more about choices and strategy. JTL overloads are more about "no brainers." There's not a lot of strategy with overloads when everyone is running all the same programs.

That's my opinion.

First of all, yes, fix WO3.

Secondly though, I'd love it to be more like E/W/S. That seems like it'd be a lot of work on the Devs side though, for something that isn't exactly game-breaking in the slightest.

You should, however, only be able to run 1 overload command at a time. I think that would add some strategy. Would mean some people would be more focused on damage (WO), some on sustained damage (CO), some on maneuverability/speed (EO), and not sure about RO, I guess that's just if you're RED is too high.

Poll results as so far.

5 - Their fine, leave it exactly as it is now!

1 - Fix WO3, and its fine.

2 - Fix WO3, and lets see what happends

2 - Bad idea, poorly conceptualized, entirely needs to be rethought out.

2 - Should be more like the sim series with E/W/S energy management.

1 - other.

I've been preparing for a WO3 fix since early January.

I say fix it, just because I want to see/hear/imagine an entire cadre of pilots who rely on badly/poorly-designed or REed layouts have simultaneous aneurysms.

Fix it, see what happens.

To pilots that want to keep shooting when it's fixed: Use weapon tuning.

True, if WO3 is fixed, we MIGHT see Weapon Tuning used, or just a drop to WO2 (depending on reactor use) - WO2 would put out more damage than WO3+WT3, but needs a bigger reactor.

Nonsense, there's an entire tree devoted to it in the pilot skills. Still astounds me that people ignore 1/4 of their boxes.

Now back to your regularly scheduled discussion.

I'll take EWS please. And a side of balancing for heavier ships too.

My vote:

- They are fine, leave them as they are (maybe up the speed a little)

As the above poster says, if you "fix" WO3 we will end up with the same "too tired" scenario that we get on the ground game during heavy dogfights.

Then cap to shield shunt is screwed as well because you won't have any energy left to run it.

I think though, maybe more emphasis should be made on educating newer pilots on what droid commands do, theres nothing really "in-game" that really draws your attention to it.

I'm constantly having to go on a droid / chip shopping spree after one of my guildies almost gives up flying cos he cant hit anything or his capacitor is always dropping. I mention droid commands and they go "huh?" and the only way to really explain it to them, quickly and easilty, is to get them a droid and set it up for them.

Once they have the droid, they are back up in space and loving it, usually with a cry of "why didnt I know about this before" well, cos SOE doesnt really draw your attention to it.
