Thread: You're a dev assigned to pilot profession and... [PETITION]
>Make all Master Pilot titles to just 'Master Imperial/Rebel Pilot or just Master Pilot'
>Add PvP rankings. 5 PvP kills gets you 'Ace' title, like in the X-wing books (iirc). 50 PvP kills gets you 'Legendary Pilot'. You can only get PvP points off any one pilot once, and thats it. The points also start to decay after Ace pilot, so whilst that is 'gettable', Legendary Pilot is something that would really be respected, and the aformentioned points in place would hopefully prevent Space Fightclubs. Getting these titles would just get you the title and maybe some new clothing, but only things 'for looks'.
>Add as many Star Wars/Expanded Universe ships as I could get my mitts on! Grab the essential guide to vehicles/ships, and put the whole lot of em in
>Add weapons of mass destruction, like Deathstar ripoffs. Big satillites with stupidly large guns designed to attack planets, designed by the Empire, with specific weakpoints that require good piloting skills to destroy. Would provide some 'terrain' for fights. Imperials would get to destroy Rebel medical facilities with likewise weakpoints.
>Add some silly 'easter eggs'. Maybe a 'Red Baron' fokker WWI plane that spawns in an out-of-the-way place, and only if certain parameters are met (Someone destroys X amount of spawns in Y amount of time in the system, and it flys in for a few seconds). Just random jokes to make people grin, but only in really rare occurences. Simpler easter eggs would be doing things like putting '[name of developer] woz ere!] graffiti onto places on stations that are not usually looked at.
>Add a new ship, the Jedi starfighter MXC 91435403, with 700 gun slots. Certified to Jedi, but when they launch it automatically blows up with a system message 'Vader says Hi!'
Ok, so the first few suggestions were actually semi-serious
(I wont add costs since they could be changed easily)
-extra pilot jackets/helmets with a variety of colours and styles aswell as boots, gloves and trousers. Also different pilot suits for experimental ship pilots.
-sub components which can be handed to a SW and implemented to make a nice component, adding more than 1 of these components would exponentionaly increase the other resources which would make the component, meaning you could have an uber weapon but it would cost ALOT of cash and prestige.
-upgrades to MP ships, additional slots for weapons, armour, shields, extra turrets or rooms for storage, etc.
-experimental (which in games means better for some reason
-pilot titles, show you are an experienced pilot with your "Master Elite Ace Pilot" title
-furniture for MP ships including fixed things like the pilots chair, also the ability to change the floors and walls to fit your decor.
-new looking components which a SW can add onto any RE part which makes the part look better, IE the engine will look more futuristic or weapons will have a new colour and look differnt on your choosen ship.
-medals which could either be displayed in a case or on your pilot jacket.
-new ship textures and pain kits (always wanted a silver awing
-new kits for MP ships which would enable you to change the mesh of it to make it look bulkier or sleaker. The nova is very ugly
erm...thats about it atm im sure others can add more if they try

Neon...

I'd like to buyschematics forenhancements that could be added to chassis datapad ships, or at LEAST ata Shipwright'sblueprint construction stage.
PYR-speed-Acceleration-Deceleration enhancements, mass boosts(Helloooo Z-95, I've missed you), gun/ordinance mounts(oh, how I would like this one for the low-level TIE's, and it wouldn't even need a new graphic)

This would be an instanced environment like the vette. If you win for your side I.E. prevent the loss of the deathstar, or if rebel succeed in destroying it, the trainer says something like "You demonstrated exceptional tactical ability I am going to sent the logs of your battle to our pilot academy for new recruits to review." If you lose the trainer says " You put up a valiant effort, and we had our best pilots there that day, maybe you can review their flight recorders for some pointers"
The reward of course includes a badge, and maybe some kind of apparel/ship part. Of course you must have at least the rank of master pilot and 1 mil prestige to be allowed to participate in the simulation.
(Reminds me of the movie speed)
You're a dev assigned to pilot profssion, what do you do? (danh danh dahhh)
Your profession has reached a barrier where pilots have little motivation to continue playing as the content was not developed for them beyond a certain point, what do you do!!!
Dev 1: I sit back and ignore them and give them just enough to keep them from quitting.
Dev 2: I continually try and fix one problem that no one cares about yet keep breaking it at the same time. (Plasma leak thingy)
Dev 3: I select awesome pilot correspondants who rally the community together making them think change is on the horizon then I ignore all the feedback received from him.
Dev 4: I play with my star wars toys on my desk all day!!!!
Dev 5: I give Jedi their own ship that fires lightsabers and has near invincible shields!
Dev 6: I add pointless duty missions which are essentially just cut and paste copy's of mission offered elsewhere in the game and call them NEW!
Dev 7: I change the price on entering deep space to 1 million pilot prestige!!!
(All devs) oooooo, the force is strong with that one....
lmao made me laugh ![]()
I dont want to have to spend a lot on a new KSE if mine becomes destroyed so that i cant play it

I personally do not like this one, or anything around it. Come on, how much do you really spend at a SW? I have gone through several mastries, and PvP in real space quite a bit, and have yet to replace a chassis. This is not a good idea, and would alienate the SW, who are bread and butter for some things, even more.

I understand that sentiment, but I feel the same about my RIS armour on the ground.
/shrug Not going to stop me from wearing it
