Sounds interesting! What are the rewards?

The quests in between have a few rewards, but from what I hear the final space battle results only in a badge and a medal.

This is a long quest that begins with the Proton Carbine quest (Carl) on the Ryatt Trail. After you finish the Proton Carbine quest, Carl passes you on to the Wookie next to him. A very, very cool quest, but also extremely difficult. I would compare the Blackscale Compound mission that comes right before this space mission to The Corvette Assassinate mission. VERY Tough, I had a team of 7 with 5 jedi, and after mission completion only one of us survived until the time limit expired. You need to have access to the Ryatt trail in its entirety, you need to have access to the Etyy Hunting grounds as this is part of the quest as well... 4 nasty lvl 82 spiders, and a lvl 86 Trandoshan that can only be hit ranged.

I'm bound and determined to solo this mission as a Rebel. You Imps have it too easy with bstrike. We did it again last night with a crew of five. Three Actis interceptors, an X-wing, and a Belbullab. Same strategy I used when I had the three Actis/ one B-wing group...one of the other Actis pilots went with me, and we aggroed the entire group and took off. The other three pilots teamed up and started trying to pick things off, until they drew the entire fleet's aggro. We shot back through and picked it all up again (I was yelling over TS "get ready to iffscramble!"), and this time I specifically told them not to shoot at Cyssc. Got a little hairy when a gunboat got a shot all the way through my shields and knocked out my shield generator, but I stuck it out till we had finished everything off.

Oh, note--if a shield generator is knocked out, it simply won't recharge--you can still shunt energy into it from a capacitor.

EDIT:

The Blackscale compound isn't as tough as everyone has made it out to be. We had no deaths until after we were already on our way out. (My group of 7 included three Jedi and four of us non-Jedi, including two of us who were smugglers.)Then we just decided that, instead of fighting out, we were just going to run like hell...I was in sight of the gate when they got the third incap on me. I wasn't actually even worried about dying, since there was no penalty. I'd say it's comparable to the Geo cave in difficulty...if you've got a decent group, you'll do fine.

Oh, it also annoyed the hell out of me when the Blackscales were using my favorite smuggler trick--concussion shot. They kept using it on me to keep me out of the fight.

I completed the Blackscale Compound ground part with onlytwo otherJedi helping me, but that was before the healing nerf in publish 19. It was the hardest thing we ever did.

Note that the level 86 Trando in Etyyy can be attacked by melee characters as well. You just have to go round all the way as if you were leaving the area he is in, and look for an opening through some trees to get to the cliffside promontorywhere he is standing.

We still haven't done the space battle part, planning to do it as a mega guild event for all of my guildto enjoy.
