Thread: Cyssc soloed :)

I just soloed my Cyssc, is not an easy mission but is doable, expecially planning a bit the strategy

here some advices to pilots that are trying this difficult mission...

i found that the Cyssc is not itself extremely hard, my main concerns where the escort gunboats and their missiles so i put them as my top priority.

If you focus on the capital ship to take it out as fast as possible you really risk to get hammered by these escorts and their warheads so engage them as fast as possible.

there are 3 "missile" gunboats, the 2 tier5 imp and the "strange" gunboat, the strange one is not very dangerous and its missiles are not extremelly powerfull so it had a lower priority than the 2 imp ones.

Remember also that a disable ship is actually a dead one so you don't need to completely destroy them but "just" to disable their engine, they continue to shot around ok, but you can move the battle outside their range.

As i've done it with my imp pilot i used BS3, as said gunships where my primary target so instead to make them attack the Cyssc i unloaded them on one of the GB, so that they acted as a distraction and helped a bit in taking them down.

At this point i chose to destroy the fight escort, as said i didn't considered them a big issue, but i tought it was a good idea to take them down fast to permit to my bomber strike team to survive more and so to keep the GB buisy, destroyed them was time to directly attack the 2 imp GB, then the strange one and finally the Cyssc.

For people that fight it in group (and that maybe have not SB) my suggestion is to focus primary on the GB, focus all the fire on a single boat, then proceed to the other and to the strange one, finally take out the escort fighters and the Cyssc.

another option can be to use a bait (or more than one), have a group member in a very fast ship (engine 100+) and possibily quite small as an A-wing or JSF, make him engage the whole enemy fleet and then run away as fast as he can, at this point attack directly the Cyssc, you should be able to isolate it from the rest of the fleet, destroy it and then run to help your friend, remember to try to divide your target from the fleet..... dividi et impera! eheh

for the equip my suggestion is to use fast and possibly low profile ships (so no firespray ) to survive in the mid of the battle is the first goal so if you have to sacrifice heavy weapons for better shields or engines do it, missiles can also be usefull, but mostly in you are in a full group with many ships equipped with them... again remember to focus all on a single "big" target at time.

finishing the mission i received a nice medal and a badge, i must admit that i was expecting also something special to use in flight (a nice gun/shield/engine or a newcraft )or to personalize the ship like some rare painting or winglets or something like that....

but it was a very funny fight and best reward was to have done it

hope it can help and...

sorry for bad english

NOOB!

jk, some ground missions I think that lead up to a big space fight ... Cyssc is like the head honcho you gotta whack. Sounds like fun .. but I can't seem to piece together the ground part to get to it, the missions/guides forum is cluttered with nothing but a piece here a piece there, and the search function on these boards is completely useless most of the time. Lord Cyssc is the "ruler" of black scale clan (the ones that enslave kashyyyk), this battle is the last of a serie of difficult groind and space missions to free kashyyyk from these thrandos.

the enemy fleet have

Cyssc flagship: a tier5 cruiser with couple of guns, a sort of a big gunboat

1 tier5 gunboat (with low damage missiles)

2 tier5 imp gunboat (with high damage missiles)

2 ARC170 (they act as a sort of tie aggressor)

a couple of tier5 grievous fighters

as you can see the fleet is actually not much different than the imp vette in kessel, what make it way more difficult is the fact that all enemies are actually fighting with you instead to follow a fixed path.

all these ships are also quite nasy compared to "standard" ones with very high speed/maneuverability

How and with who do you start the mission?

Long awaited are the Jedi robes! Gone will be the days of Jedi running about in armor. The Jedi robe will provide a hidden toughness value that will protect the Jedi, similar to armor, but providing more of a Jedi feel. -TH Jedi archive II

hrm do all the fighters and GBs aggro you once you aggro one of them? and is it possible to draw all the escorts away from the cruiser? Or will they return to the flight path once you draw them off and shake them? Since the GBs engage you rather than stay with their escort, it seems like it would be pretty easy to head up with a small profile fighter like the JSF or Bel and draw away everyone far enough, then boost till you shake them or /iff and head back for a simple 1v1 vs the cruiser.

they are very aggro if they are not alredy engaged (or not too far) they will engage you, i haven't tried but i think that the escor will return to the Cyssc if not engaged and they are also pretty fast (GB are over 1k speed).

i don't think it will be easy to split them solo, maybe something with bomber strike also i'm quite sure that you need to destroy the Cyssc and its escort to finish the mission, you will have to deal with all the escort anyway.

4 of us completed this last night (well 3 + one friend in an X-wing who was semi-AFK and getting killed a lot ). We spent most of Friday night failing this mission + Saturday afternoon too AND we had one of the best pilots I have seen on our server with us...

If your Rebel or Privateeryou will need friends for this and X-wings, heavy or not are wayyy to big a target. A-wings unfortunately dont have the punch either. We had one guy concentrating on lord cyssk and what ever stayed with him in a JSF while I was pulling gunboats away in a Bellbulab and destroying them. The guy whose mission it was was also in a Bellbulab helping out with fighters ... but generally not getting too in the thick of it.

It was certainly the most fun mission I have ever done as a pilot ... I cant wait to get through blackscale myself so I can do it

From the best I can gather ..

(dunno if you have to do the proton crabine quest first or not, probably do as I don't think he would talk to me prior to doing the proton)

The wookie next to the proton carbine guy (Carl?) at the begining of Ryatt trails starts you with a "recover the trandoshan radio" quest.

You get the radio from the trando camp on the webweaver paths part of the trail (level 4? it's the last level before shadowlands) lv 81 trando's ..the camp is behind the big ferel wookie camp.

(at this point I'm just guessing from what I could piece together from the posts in the quest forum)

He then sends you to a wookie in the tree city, she sends you to rescue a wookie child in the same trando camp. At this point I'm rather confused but I think you have to go into a "Blackscale compound" which I gather is beyond the trando camp? .. once you get through that (assuming some missions inside the compound?) then you get to the space fight part?

...again I'm only at the "retrieve the trando radio" part so everything else is just a guess from what I've been able to gather.
