I had a similar problem when i was a rebel privateer smuggler alliance pilot. I would go overt in space and go to the rebel station to go to deep space or kessel....couldn't go to the usual privateer station in dath cause i was a declared rebel and wasn't wanted there. I go to the rebel station and attempt to go to deep space to get some faction points but despite the fact i had 18 million+ prestige points they still said i didn't have enough. However I could enter kessel just fine. If not declared I could go to the neutral station in dathomir to enter kessel or deep space fine. I have /bugged this and put the information in several bug threads but the problem evidentally still persists. I'm now neutral again so i switch between rebel and imp in deep space...and whatever faction i was last aligned to in deep space that is the faction i'm aligned to in kessel. I have a bit over 24 mil in prestige now and visit both kessel and deep space quite often. They are great places to get level 10 gear for my yt-1300.

Thank you all for explaining the Cries of Alderaan story arc info to me. My friend and I have been wondering about it since we did the Rebel theme park a few months back.
