Thread: deep space prestige points bug
Ive been concentrating on helping guildies grind space things...so haven't gone into deep space much. Tonight I decide to go have some pvp fun and what happens? I declare at the rebel station in dant space, go to the deep space station, again, in dant space cos Im overt only to be told that I don't have enough pilot prestige points.
I check.
I have over 1 million points.
A firend who was coming with me had exactly the same problem.
so, I cant go into deep space now.
I'm somewhat annoyed by this.
Ive sent a ticket, but no idea whats gonna happen.

Wow. Totally off the point, but there is STILL a COA fp bonus for rebs? That is hysterical. I had no idea. Not that I want that to be anywhere on the devs list of "fix it" priorities, but come on, that is ridiculous.
All the rebelmissions in space and the rebelthemepark missions on the ground give you COA points. I haven't been here all that long (5 months or so), so I have no idea what theCOA faction points thing isall about. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Long, long ago it was decided that content would be given to the players of SWG. The powers that be made a monthly (code for every few months or so) storyline about some doctor who liked to get soldiers high on a flower so they could shoot better.Whichever side had a higher % of members on all combined servers who completed a series of quests would "win;" the prize being your bonus faction points. The series of quests were called the "cries of alderaan" storyline.
Some would argue that because its been months and months and months that you should have to defend that right to extra points, or say, not have it anymore but those people are just silly.
And I've had no probs getting into deep space, that bites.

as a privateer, one still has to go to dathomir station, but do it undeclared. Choose the deep space option and you'll be made overt once there. After that, if you want to be overt anywhere else then deep space then jump back. If you dont want to go to deep space, then go to the dant rebel station and declare there....however, once you do, you wont be able to go to deep space.
that could confuse a stupid person, LOL

Hasn't the imperials still got their discount though? Isn't their faction equipment still X percent cheaper? If so, it's really nothing to complain about. Sure, rebels can horde useless faction points, but imperials can buy useless faction stuff cheaper...
Anyway, if I remember correctly, these bonuses were supposed to be tied in to whoever was "winning" the GCW at the time (Tied in with the command /gcw I think). Control over those broken NPC faction bases together with the winning side of the monthly acts would determine who got the bonus, and who got the discount... Ended up just being a COA thing I guess.
First I'm a Rebel. Been here sense 4th day, waited a long long time for the game to come out, read ALL the forums...
Now, let me take you back to a time, awhile ago... A time where the game was about ready to ship. And at that time SOE stated that SWG, unlike every other MMORPGs,SWGwas gonna have a story arc. A monthly quest to advance your side (Rebel or Imp), and for the first month we had the first story arc! it was a simple mission (dang I can't even remember what the mission was now), I think you had to collect rebel or imperial disks from meatlumps, read them and put them together to make a messege which you gave too the recruiter. (Rebels won)
Mission 2 (second month) was a search and recon mission, you had to contact agirl about 2k away, she gave you something and yougave it back tothe recruiter. Recriuter sent you somewhere to stopget inside a building send a messege (Or stop a messege frombeing sent?). (Rebels win)
Mission 3 *(Final mission)
Rebels had too guard this building(something) for about 15 minutes as wave after wave of storm troopers attacked ( actually it was easier then that, if you attacked the storm troopers first they didn't stand a chance.) (Rebels were behind till like the last day), this mission went on forever they left it going for months then ended it, they said people could still do missions to get our reward (DEADEYE). They broke the mission about 2 months later, you can still do the mission and get Aldaraan flora, but you can't use the Aldaraan flora to make DEADEYE anymore. The Dead eye was sopposed to be our reward!! we were sopposed to have a steady supply of deadeye (As the story line was about finding a new plant to make deadeye out of). Sence Rebels won we were sopposed to be able to make DeadEyE as a faction reward.
So whats so speical about deadeye? It stacks with everything else! Thats about it.
I'm glad we still get our CoA faction reward! Why would you want to take away something already given to us.... not like its much anyways 10 points or what not on 1000...

Actually, I still have the original DeadEye Schematic in my datapad, just no Alderaanian Flora to use making it. I can probably make about six or seven more doses.
Effect: Accuracy increased by 30-50%
Durration: Roughly ten minutes
I've still got 2 shots :-P lol.
Mine are made with super resources its stats were: Effect Accuracy increase 52%
Duration: 14.55 minutes
I miss the story arcs! Seems like they would make some game tools to make story arcs ALOT easier!
