if they do that then they need to include black sun duty missions for imperials since I believe black sun aces spawn from other faction duty missions

I don't think it took me long to get mine. Probably inside of 15 missions.
It's hard to say because I LOVE being a fighter pilot in JTL, so I spend a lot of free time in space.

I can tell you that it happened on the Intrepid server, it was definitely from a tier 4 Black Sun ship, and I never use missiles (real pilots dogfight, dangit!).

The trickiest part of obtaining this rare prize is being able to get your cockpit window open and closed fast enough when you fish the helmet out of the debris. Cleaning it out when you get back to Corellia isn't much fun, either.

I've killed well over 500,000 BS (been killing them since before this hit live and was just on TC) and still havent gotten one, and I've lost count of how many I'm up to now. I helped a friend on a tier 4 RSF mission against 2 black sun gunboats and a bunch of Ixiyen fast attack fighters and she got one off of one of the ixiyen's while I killed the gunboats hehehe.

I do sympathize with you on not getting one, i have been killing these buggers alot and still nothing, does anyone have a pic of the helmet?

BTW,Not to sound like i dont believe you on your 500,000 kills of blacksun ships. There is 500,000 minutes in 11.5 months. Unless you were killing these things once a minute 24hrs a day ther is no way you killed 500k of these, im sorry. /poke /poke /ducks

Good point well made

I've flown and completed the RSF tier 4 BS destroy mission and no helmet drop yet 4 times now and no helmet drop yet. That's 4 x 85 ships (70 tier 4, 15 tier 5 per duty mission - nearly 350k of xp for someone who hasn't mastered) plus a couple of half completed attempts, camping the endor spawn and a few stabs at the corsec capture mission which brings my BS kill tally up to 400+.

I envy those who lucked out and got it after a couple of kills.
